I typically stay near the door when I enter a home and allow the pet to come greet me. I get low and offer my hand and speak in a low, calming tone to be sure they feel safe approaching me. If I’m caring for a cat and they don’t come to greet me, I’ll do a lap around the house to find them. I always take the same, slow approach when introducing myself to establish trust. I love all animals and want them to feel respected and cared for during my stay.

I’m always keen to know if pets have special behaviors or play desires before I care for them. If they have a favorite wand toy, I’ll be sure to allow for playtime. If they love a certain block near a park, I’ll be sure to walk them there! Any and all details help to ensure I offer the best possible experience for your pet while you’re away.
A typical day
I love to take dogs out in the neighborhoods to see new sights. While some dogs may love a routine walk I always strive to push further and to socialize the dog if I’m able.

Hello all! I am a kind, compassionate, enthusiastic, animal lover. I have many years of experience house-sitting and pet-sitting in my hometown of Barrington, IL, dog-walking at a rescue shelter in college at UVM, and now dog-walking and pet-sitting for a living in Chicago. I love all breeds of cats and dogs and am open to spend as much or as a little time with your pet(s) as needed. I am always eager to take a dog out to a dog park to allow it to have as much fun and expel as much energy as possible. I also love to take a few moments at home to give a belly rub or cuddle. look forward to help ease your mind in the midst of our hectic lives.
