I have over 15 years of animal care experience, including pet and house sitting, as well as volunteering with rescues and shelters where I’ve assisted with grooming, walking, and daycare. I currently volunteer with the San Diego Humane Society on the dog team, where I handle dog walking, playtime enrichment, and essential care tasks like laundry and kennel cleaning. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs—from energetic puppies who benefit from basic training and structure, to senior dogs who require patience, gentle handling, and attentive care. My background has taught me how to read animal behavior, build trust quickly, and create a safe, calm environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I follow all feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide, whether that includes administering medications, reinforcing training, or accommodating special diets. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection so they don’t feel stressed or lonely. For walks, I prioritize safety, structure, and engagement. I’m experienced handling dogs with different energy levels and temperaments, and I tailor each walk to their needs. I practice good leash handling, stay aware of surroundings, and reinforce positive behaviors during walks. In addition to pet care, I respect your home by keeping things clean and tidy. My background in shelter work means I’m very comfortable with cleaning tasks, monitoring pet health and behavior, and responding calmly to unexpected situations. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so both you and your pet feel at ease.

Schedule
I work a hybrid job where the majority of my week I am working from home. I have a very flexible schedule and have availability to make time for your pet at any time on Sundays through Tuesdays and Fridays through Saturdays.
