Right now my schedule is pretty flexible since I just finished my master’s degree and am going to medical school school in August. That actually makes it really easy for me to fit pet care in consistently. I’m able to plan my day around the pets I’m caring for instead of trying to squeeze it in.

When I care for pets in a client’s home, I make it a point to follow all instructions carefully and stick closely to the pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m always on time because I know how important consistency is, especially when it comes to feeding schedules, walks, and medications. Even small delays can make pets anxious or throw off their routine, and I understand how stressful that can feel as an owner. I also try to be very mindful and attentive while I’m there, not just going through the motions but actually making sure the pet is doing well, getting enough attention, and feels calm while their owner is away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your babies in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that lightly at all.
Information Courtney M. would like to know about your pet
I think it’s really important to know a pet’s normal routine and personality ahead of time. Things like feeding schedules, medications, bathroom habits, favorite toys, energy level, and whether they have any fears or triggers can make a huge difference in helping them feel comfortable. I also like knowing how they act around strangers, other animals, loud noises, or being left alone. I know every pet is different, and a lot of them do best when their routine stays as normal as possible while their owner is away. I also understand how anxious it can feel leaving your pets with someone else, so I want owners to feel comfortable telling me all the little details, whether that’s “she likes her food warmed up” or “he sleeps with a certain blanket.” Those little things matter to me because I know they matter to my own baby, Gigi, and they’re part of what makes pets feel safe and at home.
A typical day
I try to match activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. For more active dogs, I love going on walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, or just spending time outside getting some energy out. For pets that are more relaxed or shy, I’m happy to just sit with them, give them attention, brush them, or let them curl up next to me while we hang out. I also like keeping pets mentally engaged with toys, little games, or treats if allowed. Even simple things like talking to them, sticking to their routine, and giving them one-on-one attention can make a huge difference while their owners are away. I know pets can get stressed or lonely when their people are gone, so I try to make sure they still feel comfortable, entertained, and loved.

Pet care experience
** Unavailable 5/26 after 1:30 PM ** I’ve had my cat, Gigi, for four years now, and honestly she’s my baby. I know how stressful it is leaving your pets at home, even for a short trip. I’m the type of person who worries about whether they’re bored, if they’re eating enough, if they’re lonely, or if they think you abandoned them. Because of that, I’ve always been really attentive when caring for other people’s pets too. I’ve pet sat for friends many times while they were on vacation or out of town, and I try to make their pets feel as comfortable and loved as possible while their owners are away. Whether that’s sticking to their normal routine, giving them attention and playtime, or just spending extra time with them so they aren’t alone all day, I genuinely enjoy it. I know pets are family to people because mine definitely is to me.
Reviews
Courtney has exceeded expectations on looking after my two boy cats! She stays and pets them after feeding and plays with them. She always lets me know when she is there and also sends picture updates. Very very reliable!
I can't thank Courtney enough for looking after our pets. It is such a relief to know that my dog Persia was walked and loved, and that the cats were fed and cared for—even the shy one! I can personally attest that she is a big animal lover. We will definitely be booking her again.
Courtney is hands-down the best person I know to care for your fur-babies. She is gentle, caring, compassionate, and pays great attention to detail. Courtney is able to go above and beyond for any needs you have regarding the care of your animal. She has helped me in caring for my dog, Gus, many times throughout his heartworm treatment. During this time, she ensured his wellbeing while also helping him engage in mentally stimulating games (hiding treats in toys, finding new lick pad recipes, among other things). She is someone I would recommend, and have recommended in the past.
