Just call me the animal whisperer!
I've always loved animals! I professionally started caring for others' fur-babies a couple years ago. I have pet sit for people with under-active and overactive dogs. I have experience with a variety of breeds, senior & adult dogs, puppies, cats, fish, hermit crabs, parrots, pigs, bunnies, and hamsters. I've even had experience in hiding medications in food for pets to eat, administering insulin, and dogs with megaesophagus requiring the chair to sit up and eat.

I'm all about maintaining a pet's schedule & ensuring they're comfortable; I keep up with the accuracy of when a pet normally eats or goes to the bathroom. I have no problems with mess — litterboxes, vomit, cleaning up any accidents, or vacuuming up fur! I also have my own pet sitting insurance (which I haven't had to utilize, but just as precaution). I love keeping pet parents updated, and taking videos/pictures brings me joy! I just love being able to help out and provide comfort to animals & their parents. I'm also a non-smoker of any kind!

I was very hopeful about hiring Courtney, but I came away less than thrilled. Before hiring her, she came over for a meet and greet and I explained in detail about the care instructions and showed her the guest bedroom where she would sleep and the bathroom she would use. I also left written instructions for the animals for her reference. Courtney was fairly good about sending pics in one update a day. There was one day I had to follow up with her. During the meet and greet Courtney said out loud that there wouldn’t be a reason for her to go upstairs and it was not a part of the tour of the house, however, when I came home it became clear that she had either not slept here or at least had not slept in the guest room. She had also used the upstairs bathroom to shower (I know because she left her hair gunking up the drain), using my towels afterwards, instead of the clean towels left for her in the guest room. I also have a sneaking suspicion she slept in my bed, though I can’t be sure. She definitely didn’t sleep in the guest room. I knew she had gone upstairs because she sent me pics of the cats upstairs, but sleeping in my bed and using my towels is a step too far and just plain weird. If she had mentioned it to me or had asked because there was some reason she felt she needed to sleep upstairs or use the upstairs bathroom, then we could have discussed it, but she didn’t. Leaving my animals in someone else’s care and asking for them to stay in my home is an exercise in trust, and this experience left me feeling like that trust had been violated. Two stars because everyone was fed.

Courtney did a great job caring for our pup! He is a picky eater and on daily medication and she got him to eat and take it every day.
Courtney is the best!!! She went above and beyond to take excellent care of my 3 kitties and also to ease my anxiety about leaving my babies for 2 weeks. She was a great communicator and left detailed notes and photos every day she visited. She spent extra time with them nearly every day, which was great because the shy cats loved her and the attention she gave them! They opened up to her immediately which was really amazing. She even vacuumed and brought my mail in. 1000/10 recommend.
Courtney is great, as always! She came by our house daily to check on our 3 kitties. I bought the wrong size batteries for our timer feeders and Courtney creatively solved that issue until I could get the batteries to her. She sent photos with the daily report cards. She also brought our mail in from the mailbox. We cannot recommend Courtney enough!
Courtney is capable and responsible. I trust her with Obi and she always does a great job following directions and making sure he’s living his best life while I’m away

Schedule
I work retail in Deptford, NJ. My typical schedule includes me having off on Sundays & Fridays all day. Saturdays, I work 9am-5pm. Mondays & Tuesdays, I'm normally 10am-5pm, and then on Wednesdays & Thursdays, I'm 3pm-9pm. Monday thru Thursday can vary depending on my job's needs, but that's typically my usual schedule! My job is very flexible, so if you need me to be there all day or want me to work a shorter shift, I understand & it's no problem to do so! I do need 14 days in advance to actually alter that schedule, so just let me know your preferences. Not a problem at all, but I prefer to know ahead of time before a meet for housesitting if you need me to stay the entire time (no errands, going to my retail job, or going out in general) as this rate will be higher since it's constant care! I will also unfortunately not take requests outside of New Jersey.
