Pet care experience
Every dogs dream farm retreat!
I am a lifelong animal lover who has been working with dogs both professionally and in a volunteer capacity for the last 15 years. Our farm is located on 100 acres just outside of Owen Sound. The Bruce Trail runs through our property and all dogs in our care receive a minimum of one hike a day in addition to various shorter walks around the farm. We only board one dog/household at a time and they have free reign of our home when supervised and a dedicated "dog room" with all the comforts of home for when they are not. Over the years we have fostered puppies to seniors, small to xlarge as well as many medical needs dogs and we love them all!

Courtney was great. She updated us a couple of times on how Peyah was doing which was nice. We would definitely book her again if needed.
Courtney is amazing. Milo had a great time and was exhausted when he got home. This was Milos second time being away from home and she put all my worries to rest. She sent updates and pictures which I appreciate.
Courtney was wonderful with my 3 dogs. I felt content with leaving them. She sent messages and pictures which was very nice and gave me piece if mind ! I’ll definitely have her come again!!
Courtney was absolutely exceptional! Stella had a great time in her care! Her property is amazing! She had excellent communication; sent pictures while out on a walk, and kept me in the loop and reassured while we were away! Courtney is the true definition of a pet lover. She not only helped us find the perfect rescue dog for our family, she also gives all of her foster dogs so much love and dedication. She’s patient with all of their individual quirks, and is always looking out for what’s best for the dogs. I highly recommend her!
Courtney and I have volunteered for the same dog rescue for about 10 yrs now, and I wouldnt hessitate to place any dog in her care. She's always been an amazing foster parent and dog mom. She's responsible, nurturing and does everything she can to ensure the dogs feel comfortable, safe and loved in her home. She's active, so she keeps the pups well exercised, both mentally and physically, which is so important. She truly loves interacting with them, she's a real dog lover at heart.

Schedule
I prioritize morning and evening walks due to my current schedule of working off farm 3 days a week. On my off farm days I come home at lunch so dogs are never left longer than 3.5h without out a break/walk. I also have a camera in our "dog room" so I can check in throughout the day.

I try to mimic the routine each dog follows in their own home as I have found that assists with their transition. With that as the foundation we create a schedule that allows for equal amounts of rest/play. We only board one dog/household at a time so that we can provide them with lots of one on one attention!
A typical day
Each dogs schedule varies slightly depending on their needs but is guaranteed to include a hike, play time and lots of one on one! For higher energy dogs their stay will include basic obedience, puzzle toys and lots of times outdoors and for our older, lower energy clients we focus on creating a calm enviroment with lots of couch time!

- The more information I have the better prepared I can be to give your dog the best stay. For new clients I like to have a quick meeting prior to their stay (I'm happy to come to you) so that they are familiar with me prior to being left in my care.
