I have a flexible daytime desk job, allowing me to set my own schedule and typically wrapping each day by 5p so my evenings are free. I'm happily married and my husband also works a flexible day job so he is able to hold down the fort with our pets and teens so that I can take care of your family when you're away!

Safety, trust & environment

I'd love to provide your pet with drop-in care that suits their individual and unique needs, whether that's going for walks, playing in an enclosed yard, or hanging out for a bit for belly rubs, cuddles, and treats. I'm flexible to each pet's needs and want to be sure they feel loved and cared for in your absence. And of course, it's important to me to be sure they are in a clean, safe, fed environment during the times that I'm not there - whether that means making sure water dishes are full, messes are cleaned up, doors are secured, temperatures are comfortable, etc. I've worked with pets who prefer crate-training to those who are allowed free reign, and am comfortable with whatever YOUR structure is for your pet. If they're happy, I'm happy.

Information Courtney K. would like to know about your pet

I'm comfortable with special needs pets and senior animals, but would like to know the specifics of their special care in advance to make sure I'm able to meet their needs. Otherwise, their preferences of time of day to eat, how many walks, the distance they prefer to walk / their energy-level, etc are always helpful for planning

A typical day

I'm sure this will vary by pet, but I'm open to walks, playing in an enclosed yard, playing with indoor toys, and/or cuddles and belly rubs - depending on the energy level of the pet.

Pet care experience

Hi there! I’m Courtney – lifelong animal lover, seasoned pet parent, and your pet’s next favorite human. 🐾 From fluffy kittens to wise senior pups, I’ve cared for just about every kind of furry (and finned!) friend you can think of - cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits… basically everything except the slithery and scaly crew (sorry, lizards and snakes, you're adorable but not my specialty!). With a lifetime of experience and a current household that includes four cats and two dogs (yes, it’s as wonderfully chaotic as it sounds), I’ve seen it all - from zoomies and belly rubs to insulin shots and joint supplements. I’ve raised pets from their earliest days through to their golden years, including those with special needs like hip dysplasia and diabetes. Administering routine meds and providing compassionate, attentive care is just part of the package. I know firsthand that pets are family, and when you're away, you deserve peace of mind knowing your beloved companions are safe, happy, and well cared for. Whether your pet is a snuggly couch potato, an energetic explorer, or a quirky little character with special routines, I’ll treat them like one of my own. Let’s make your time away as stress-free as a sunny nap in a windowsill. ☀️🐕🐈‍⬛

Courtney was a perfect first-time Rover experience for our family! She sent frequent updates and went above and beyond with our cat's care. Courtney even went as far as to offer to check on the house after a particularly nasty storm. Thank you so much for your care and attention!

Courtney is fantastic with our high energy dog. She takes her on a nice long walk and makes sure to give her plenty of time to sniff as she goes. Our dog is noticeably better behaved in the evenings when Courtney has taken her. It’s obvious she gets great exercise and mental stimulation on those days. I recommend Courtney wholeheartedly!
