Some things I like to know are: • Personality & habits — Are they shy, energetic, snuggly, anxious, or independent? • Routines — Feeding schedule, walk times, bedtime routines, and any house rules. • Medical needs — Medications, allergies, sensitivities, or mobility issues. • Behavioral notes — Reactivity, fears, separation anxiety, leash tendencies, or any triggers. • Social preferences — How they do with other dogs, cats, and new people. • Training cues — Commands they know and the words you use at home. • Forbidden items — Anything they shouldn’t have access to or tend to get into. The more I know, the better I can give them the same care and consistency they get from you.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, stimulated, and feeling loved while you’re away. Depending on your pet’s personality and energy level, I tailor our time together so they feel comfortable and engaged. Some of our favourite activities can include: • Walks and outdoor adventures — from relaxed sniff-walks to more energetic outings • Playtime — fetch, tug, puzzle toys, or whatever their favourite game is • Mental enrichment — treat puzzles, basic training refreshers, and scent games • Cuddles and calm time — for pets who prefer affection and a cozy spot to relax • Photo updates — I love sending cute pics and videos so you can see how much fun they’re having Every pet is different, so I adapt the activities to what your pet enjoys most. Courtney has always been a fun, playful soul with a natural sweetness that animals pick up on instantly. Courtney has been walking my 3-year-old golden retriever, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with her. My dog takes a daily anxiety medication, and Courtney made sure it was given properly and on time before their walks, which really put me at ease. My golden can get nervous with new people and tends to pull when she’s excited, but Courtney was so patient and gentle with her. It didn’t take long before my dog was totally comfortable, and she always came home relaxed and happy after their walk together. I also felt like I could reach out for an update anytime, and Courtney was easy to talk to and very reassuring. She’s been reliable, kind, and truly caring toward my dog.
