I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care your pet needs. I’ll also make sure your home is respected and kept clean, bring in mail or packages if requested, water plants, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

I also appreciate knowing any house rules, emergency contacts, and your veterinarian’s information so I’m fully prepared to provide the best care possible.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to follow their normal routine to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. We’ll enjoy walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection. If your pet prefers a slower pace, I’m just as happy to spend time cuddling and keeping them company. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, loved, and stress-free until you return.

Hi everyone! My name is Courtney, and I’ve lived in Northern Virginia for many years. I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and have always had a passion for caring for animals. My experience includes caring for family pets, pet sitting throughout middle and high school, volunteering with animal rescue organizations, fostering dogs and puppies, working as a doggy daycare attendant, and working as a dog bather at a pet resort. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities, so I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s unique needs. I was also a Rover sitter a few years ago before my account became inactive, so I’m excited to be back! I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I treat every pet like my own. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care while keeping your pet happy, comfortable, and safe in their own home. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! A quick note: I have a wonderful 4-year-old son who may accompany me during house-sitting stays. He has been around dogs his entire life and is very gentle, respectful, and understands how to interact with animals appropriately. He’s never had any issues with dogs and knows to always respect their space and follow my guidance. Of course, I’ll only accept bookings where clients are comfortable with this arrangement, and your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority.

If anyone need a wonderful person and human being to dog sit. Then Courtney is your girl! If I needed her to watch my kids I would suggest her to haha. But in all seriousness this is someone who love to do this and does not complain about the list I left her to follow!
Courtney was an excellent sitter for my Pit Bull Terrier. Her years of experience with dogs of different breeds and personalities were clear from the moment she arrived. She took time to understand my dog’s routine, personality, and individual needs, and she followed all of my instructions carefully. My dog felt comfortable with her very quickly, which made things so much easier while I was away. Courtney brought her young son with her during the stay, as discussed beforehand. He was gentle and respectful, gave my dog appropriate space, and followed Courtney’s guidance while interacting with him. It was wonderful seeing how comfortable my dog was around both of them. Courtney kept my dog safe, happy, and relaxed in his own home. She was dependable, communicated well, and treated him like part of her family. I would happily recommend Courtney to anyone looking for an experienced and loving sitter in the Sterling or NOVA area, and I would definitely book with her again.
Max had the best time with Courtney! Frenchies have their own little personalities and routines, and Courtney understood exactly how to make him feel comfortable. The photos and updates showed him looking happy, relaxed, and completely at home. When I picked him up, he was his cheerful self—and I could tell he had been treated like part of the family. Courtney will be my first choice the next time Max needs a sitter!
Courtney cared for my Labrador while I was in Chicago for a week-long work conference, and she made the entire experience stress-free. My dog needed a light exercise routine consisting of two short walks each day, gentle backyard play, and no running or strenuous activity. Courtney followed those instructions perfectly and shared regular updates which gave me such a relief while I was away. I returned home to a happy, relaxed dog. Courtney is responsible, kind, and someone I would confidently book again!
