Pet care experience

Lifelong Animal Lover

*Licensed and Insured* I've had four-legged family members for as long as I can remember, and I've been a reliable pet sitter for friends and family since I was a teenager. I recently began providing pet care services through Rover as well, including pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits with dogs and cats of all ages. I have experience caring for dogs and cats, particularly senior pets. I also have experience administering oral and topical medications to dogs, as well as oral and inhalant medications to cats. For walking experience, I've walked huskies, aussies, boxers, pitties, shibas, maltipoos, pugs, collies, shih tzus, puppies, elderly dogs, and more! I typically only walk one household of dogs at a time, so your pets will have my full attention. I provide photos and a description of your pet's activities with every walk, drop-in visit, and house sit, so you can be confident they're getting the care they need!

Safety, trust & environment

In a client's home, I would refer to any instructions given by the client for how best to take care of their pet. I will keep pets leashed at all times on walks, only feed them as directed by the client, and adjust playing & walking to meet their specific energy & mobility needs. As an example of the care I currently provide my own senior dog, she has access to a fenced backyard, gets regular walks around the block or to nearby parks (adjusted for her mobility level each day), and spends the majority of her time cuddling & snoring on my lap. For house sitting requests, I would be with your pets overnight in addition to dropping in to check on them or take them for walks throughout the day. If they cannot be left alone for up to 4 hours at a time, I also offer "Constant Care" house sitting at 1.5x my standard rate. Dog walks and weather safety: Safety is my first priority and I may modify a scheduled dog walk in cases of hot weather that I believe may pose a safety hazard to your pet. To determine whether it is safe to walk your pet, I factor in your dog's breed, age, overall health, the ground surface temperature, and the availability of shade and grass on our route. Depending on the risk level each day, I may adjust the scheduled walk time to avoid peak temperatures, or substitute some or all of the walk with at-home playtime & potty breaks. I also carry a small fan and a water bowl on every walk to keep your dog cool as we go.

Courtney did a wonderful job taking care of my cat. She followed instructions, made sure my kitty was well-fed, and spent time playing with her. Courtney was communicative and easy to work with, and I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!

Courtney is awesome! She is so patient with our nervous dog, and he loves walking with her. I feel great knowing that he is safe and I totally trust her walking him, even thought he can be reactive - I know Courtney's totally got it :) She's also patient with the humans when we have crazy work schedules and the house is a mess all the time!

Courtney is wonderful to work with and loving with the furry little creatures! My girls are princesses with distinct personalities and Courtney knew how to warm up to each of them and get the pack going. I will definitely work with Courtney again. 😁🐩🐩
