Availability
I do have some pets and on the occasional day I need to be local to check in on them, pop me a message to check for availability! I also drive so distance isn’t a problem, provided it’s, ideally, within Essex.

Information Courtney E. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to know any behavioural traits and their background if possible in order to better understand your pet as well as their needs, but this isn’t necessary! If they’re training specific tricks I’d love to know to ensure I can follow the same lead, whether that’s being indifferent to other animals, reducing barking or walking nicely in a heel position!
A typical day
I like to partake in activities the dogs enjoy, whether that’s going for a run, snuggling on the sofa, training in a park or a game of tug of war! I love finding new places to walk, especially more remote areas such as lakes, trails and country parks! Structured days can really benefit pups so I love to mix the day with some garden time, training, playtime and settle time! You can have a look at @0sixpetcare on Instagram to see all the fun the pups have! The dogs may be shown online, please specify if you’d like them to not be shown, thanks!

Pet care experience
I have a range of experience at rescues, sanctuaries, kennels, catteries and doggy daycares! I’ve worked through Rover since 2021, as well as my own pet care service 0-Six Pet Care since 2022. I have an animal management diploma and have undertaken courses with Dog Guru and Pack Pro in Dog Body Language, certificates can be shown upon request! I think of myself as efficient, compassionate, honest and reliable! I have worked with dogs of all sizes, temperaments and breeds! I’ve grown up with 5 cats alongside rats, hamsters and fish so I’m comfortable with a range of other pets! I currently work at Dogs Trust full time but I am able to pop back on my breaks and take time off as and when available. I have years of experience with grooming, feeding, medicating, health checking, exercising and cleaning. I previously worked at a popular dog daycare in Southend and helped with supervising play, enrichment, feeding and ensuring they are healthy and treated with the best quality of care. I will always ensure that the animals come first and ensure that their quality of health is never compromised or at risk and the same level of care and compassion learned here will be shown to your pets! My family dog is a 4 year-old dachshund-terrier mix who is frustration reactive and a resource guarder! He’s helped me to adapt my training techniques with reactive dogs so I’m constantly learning new ways to enrich him with slow feeders, lickimats, puzzles, snuffle mats and so on! If you’d like me to bring some of these items during bookings feel free to let me know!

Reviews

It's the second time we have used Courtney to pet sit and she did an excellent job once again. Terrance and Tia seemed very underwhelmed to see us arrive home, so I think it is also a big thumbs up from them too.
Courtney was great with the dogs and kept us informed with messages and photos. Can't recommend her highly enough. She goes above and beyond

Courtney was brilliant! She looked after our fur ball for a week and did an amazing job. We came home to a happy and well cared for pet. Would highly recommend her service to anyone looking for reliable and loving pet care

This was our first time using Rover to find a pet sitter to stay in our home, but Courtney made it a very positive experience. Unfortunately as our poor old dog, Terrance, has some health issues there were quite a few instructions to deal with, but Courtney looked after him, Tia our cat and the house very well. We would happily book her again. Apologies to Courtney for Tel's snoring, constant scratching and his smelliness.
