Before caring for any pet, I like to know a few key things to make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. This includes: • Their daily routine (feeding times, walks, potty breaks) • Any medical needs (allergies, medications, past injuries) • Behavioral quirks (fears, triggers, resource guarding, anxiety) • How they are around other dogs, people, or kids • Their energy level and favorite ways to play or relax • Any commands or training cues they know I also like to know if there are any house rules (no furniture? crate trained?) or tips that help them feel at ease like favorite toys, treats, or calming routines. The more I know, the better I can care for them just like you would!
A typical day
A typical day with your pet will be all about keeping them happy, comfortable, and feeling loved while you’re away. I like to start the day with a potty break and some fresh air, whether that’s a walk around the neighborhood or some time in the yard. After breakfast, we’ll spend time playing with their favorite toys or doing enrichment activities. Throughout the day, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention like snuggles on the couch, playtime, and potty breaks as needed. If they’re more energetic, we might go on an extra walk or have a good game of fetch. If they’re more laid back, we’ll keep it mellow with calm companionship and cozy downtime. In the evening, I follow their normal dinner routine and make sure they get some wind-down time before bed. I also send regular updates with pictures so you can see how relaxed and content they are!
