How does pet care fit into my daily routine? I care for your animals on a full-time basis and will actively carve out and create as much time as possible in my schedule to make myself available for your pet(s). For any visits (housesits, drop-ins, walks) outside of my 8-mile service radius, I charge an additional $1/ mile. I accept these visits on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for understanding in advance. All first meetings are complementary. Please provide any house keys during our first meeting. Any additional meetings and/or key exchanges carry a 30$ rate. Thank you for understanding.

Safety, trust & environment

For overnight housesits, I'm completely open to looking after your pets in their own home where they're most comfortable on their turf. Having their familiar faces absent, I strive to accommodate their comfort as much as possible. For walks, I use my own walking belt that I attach your leash to- this allows me to be hands free (think treats, water breaks, pets, etc). I supply all the doggy bags your pup could need too! As a general rule of thumb, for safety's sake I do not take my walking clients near other dogs unless they have a preexisting, amicable relationship.

Information Court S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet is on any medications (how much, how often, how do they best take it) as well as flea/tick preventative if they will be due for it during the stay. Allergies are also important to note! As a general rule of thumb, I only give treats out that your pet has had before due to avoid any potential allergies and GI upset. I'd love for you to share what your pet enjoys doing the most while at home, as well as things like: -Are they up to date on vaccines? -How are they on walks- especially in encounters with other dogs, children, people, and wildlife? -Are they prone to resource guarding their food, bed, toys, etc.? -Do they have any special behaviors or quirks I should know about?

A typical day

I strive to be as consistent as possible with your pet's regular schedule. I'm a big fan of long walks, so if your pup has a lot of energy to get out then I'm your girl. Overall, enrichment is key- keeping your pet mentally stimulated and enjoying their time with me is of the utmost importance.

Pet care experience

Aside from growing up in a household of 8+ species, I've cared for dogs and cats professionally for 12 years. I've looked after and lived with pups & cats of all ages, including those who are geriatric and have special needs. I've also worked in veterinary care for 3 years, so I feel confident in my abilities to help your pet in an efficient manner in the event of illness/emergency. My ultimate goal in pet care is to give your pet(s) an enriching experience while being mindful of and catering to their needs and unique personality. I also care for exotics! I've previously cared for ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, kangaroo rats, chickens, snakes, and goats. If you don't see your exotic listed, please feel free to inquire! I'm a big animal nerd and love learning about different species' behavior & care management. *Boarding Exclusively for Felines* If looking after your cats in your home is not an option due to unsafe house maintenance (insulation installation, etc.) or simply due to your preference, I offer boarding for cats at my home! I only accept cats from one household at a time in order to lower stress as much as possible. Please bring litter supplies, food, treats, toys, etc. The more items they have from their own home the more comfortable their stay will be in a new environment! They'll have plenty of sunshine for basking and rooms for zoomies and romping. :)
