DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home as an editor, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care).

Information Cory J. would like to know about your pet

I'll want to know about your dog's personality and any quirks, and anything else you feel is important for me to know before taking care of your furchild in my home or yours.

A typical day

When my dog was alive, I walked him twice every workday at the Bingen marina or NW Lake park, with longer Gorge hikes and swims together on my days off (Wednesdays and weekends). I'm happy to tailor an exercise schedule to your dog's needs.

Pet care experience

I'm an experienced dog sitter and former dog mom just returning to Rover and accepting new and returning clients! I have decades of experience taking care of dogs, including my own, friends', and dogs in rescues and shelters. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible.

Cory was prompt and accommodating during her check-in on my dog. She was very thorough in asking questions prior to the visit to learn about him. He was well cared for and happy!

Friendly, easy exchange coming and going. Communicated all that was necessary, genuinely cared for my pup. Couldn't ask for better.

Cory was a lifesaver for me. I was in town for a wedding and frantic and she picked Franklin up and dropped him off for me at my hotel. She was super flexible about my time leaving since I wasn’t exactly sure when I’d be back. She sent me photos and updates the whole day. I’m so grateful she was available.
