Hi, my name is Corrina and I've been surrounded by and taking care of dogs and cats since I was a child. I have extensive experience with dog breeds all the way from collies to chihuahuas, though it's the latter breed that I have found myself falling head over heels for. I also foster for rescues, which sees me taking care of all shapes, ages, and sizes, though I have a particular love for the oldies and special needs dogs and kitties. My practical experience is bolstered by my theoretical knowledge; I have a master's in Anthrozoology (the study of human-animal relationships) and my doctoral thesis that I am currently writing is on the potential for companion animal personhood. I am also currently studying to become a canine behaviourist at the veterinary level and I work remotely part-time for a dog walking company as an admin manager. To say that I love dogs and taking care of them is an understatement. The biggest assurance I can offer is that whilst I'm looking after your dog - whether for an hour or a week - I will treat them as I treat my own: with love and care and respect. And it's not just canines that I love, but felines too! So if you need a diligent house-sitter or someone to drop in on your kitties whilst you're away, then I would be honoured to spend time with your lovely cats. I have my own insurance and first aid certification.

Corrina looked after our two dogs while we were out all day at a wedding. She was so great with them and very reliable. Sent lots of pictures throughout the day, have them their dinner and even washed the bowls afterwards. Corrina has a lovely sunny personality and the dogs took to her straight away! Highly recommend.
Corrina was so wonderful with honey! Wagging tails all round after coming back from her walk 🐾 Honey’s first time with a dog walker and I felt more than happy leaving her with Corrina, she was so lovely and honey is excited for her next walk! 🥰
Literally wonderful! Better than a home from home as my little dog isn’t the best behaved and needs very careful watching to prevent her eating things she shouldn’t and Corrina took all this onboard without a problem. Corrina gave regular updates and photos and even sent her home with a goodie bag and picture for us to keep! Corrina has two of the sweetest little dogs and my dog was extremely happy and relaxed when I collected her. Last summer I used a kennels at my vets and my dog came home agitated and took weeks to settle. I highly recommend Corrina as a patient, kind and knowledgeable dog sitter. Thanks again Corrina.
Corrina took excellent care of my 3 kitties whilst I was away for a week. She sent me lots of photos, and messages to reassure me. Corrina also hoovered for me to keep on top of the shedding. I came back to three happy, content and well cared for kittens and a spotless house. Would definitely recommend her and will be using her again without a doubt.

Schedule
I work from home, which gives me flexibility to provide excellent care. I have regular availability for walks and drop-ins in the mornings and afternoons/evenings. At home, my day is structured around my own dogs' needs. We have a yard for toilet breaks, and several parks nearby for a good walk and sniff. I live with my partner of 11 years in a two-bedroom house, and we are both up early in the morning for a medication routine with my oldest dog. While he's off out at work, I get the enjoyable morning walks and afternoon treats!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in, secure yard that hasn't seen a doggy break out in the ten years I've lived here. I have two rescue chihuahuas of my own (12 and 9 years old). They're pretty laid back with other dogs in the home, and are very good at making nervous dogs feel welcome. My dogs have two meals a day, and two small treat times per day as well (if I fall behind schedule, they are very good at reminding me)! In your home, I will respect your wishes and will follow your instructions on how to care for your beloved pet and home to the letter. I do not shy away from cleaning, so if you need drop-ins that include vaccuming up fur or picking up poop in the yard, then please don't hesitate to get in touch!
Pets
A typical day
We go to Victoria Park at least once per day, and often Crosby beach. Of course, it depends on the dog's needs, but I can be flexible with any special requirements. We also have lots of toys, treats, and beds, as well as a chariot (buggy) for dogs with mobility issues.
