Your pup is part of my family!

I have been grooming dogs for over 18 years, and boarding clients' pups in my home for 16 years. My 13 yr old homeschooled son and I adore all dogs. We have 2 wonderful medium sized girls (Myla 8, Josie 1.5) who love all dogs and people! My career in grooming means I truly 'speak dog' and understand their quirks and needs. I have extensive experience with all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I'm comfortable administering oral and injectible medications, as well as supplements. Our dogs eat a raw diet, so food & water bowls get sterilized after each meal.

I met Corrie in 2008 when I moved to CT. At the time, I had a 4 year old Wheaten Terrier named Dunkin and Dulce a six month old Goldendoodle puppy. I started off with grooming services but very quickly took advantage of the opportunity to board the dogs with Corrie when I needed to be away. I had to say goodbye to Dunkin in 2013 and added a Sheepadoodle puppy named Leo to our family. I lost Dulce in 2022. Leo is now 12 and half years old. All three of my dogs had very different needs. Corrie is exceptionally knowledgeable about all aspects of multiple dog breeds and frequently caught things I never noticed. All of my dogs were groomed by Corrie every three weeks and all have stayed at her home on many occasions. They were always well cared for and loved as if they were her own. Corrie has a way with dogs (and humans). Everyone adores her. I sold my house last year and moved forty minutes away. I still drive back to my old stomping grounds every three weeks to meet up with Corrie for Leo's bath and haircuts. Corrie has always felt like family. She is kind, genuine and an all around amazing woman. You would be lucky if she has room for your dog to board in her home!

We have a five year old Cavapoo named Willow who has been cared for by Corrie ever since she arrived in our home at age 2 months. Corrie grooms her a a monthly basis and cares for her when we are away from home and not traveling in our motorhome. Corrie’s care for her is excellent and perhaps better than our own care. Best of all, Willow loves her as much as Willow loves her. In fact, Corrie is like family! Joanne and Richard A

Corrie has been caring for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel since he was very little, and now, at 8 years old, she truly feels like a second family to him. Whenever we are away, Corrie welcomes him into her home and takes such wonderful care of him. Knowing that he is somewhere he feels safe, comfortable, and loved gives us incredible peace of mind. Over the years, Corrie has gotten to know him so well—his personality, his routines, and all of his little quirks. When he has had health issues or I’ve been worried about him, I have often called Corrie to talk things through and get her perspective. She genuinely cares about him, and her kindness, experience, and support have meant so much to us. There is something very special about having someone you can trust completely with a beloved member of your family. He is always so happy to see Corrie, and that alone says so much about the way she treats him. We feel incredibly fortunate that Corrie has been part of his life for so many years. She is loving, dependable, attentive, and someone we trust wholeheartedly. We truly couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for him and would recommend Corrie without hesitation.

When we go on vacation, our dogs go on vacation too -- to Corrie's! Corrie has taken care of our dogs for over 15 years. We've had two dogs in this time -- Jasper and then Sadie. On our most recent vacation, Sadie stayed with Corrie for a full month! I never worried about either dog when they were in Corrie's care -- she is so knowledgeable, observant, capable, and affectionate. Sadie, 12 1/2 years old, takes medications twice a day, and eats a special, very strict diet. Corrie is great about managing both the medications and the diet. Sadie is thrilled to go to Corrie's (Jasper always was too). Corrie has been wonderful -- allowing me peace of mind that my beloved pets are safe and happy while I am away. I can't recommend her highly enough!

Schedule

Since we homeschool, we spend a lot of time at home or close by with friends. My son often has friends over who love to play with dogs. This means we have a great balance of calm & quiet time, as well as active & fun time.

Safety, trust & environment

Our lovely property has Invisible Fence for about a acre, so any dogs trained on it get to enjoy lots of untethered play time. Every dog who stays gets a temporary ID tag with my address and phone number in case of accidental 'escape' We love couch cuddles, and both of our girls sleep in bed with my son. We also have dog beds everywhere, and crates & gates available when needed.

Pets

A typical day

We're up fairly early every day (6 or 7) and first priority is getting the pups outside and fed breakfast. If we need to be out of the house, we're always home for at least 2 hrs prior to leaving. Each day varies, with lots of outdoor time, then we have dinner (dogs fed first) and couch time around 6. We typically go to bed between 9 & 10.

16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only
No females in heat
Corrie can host up to 3 pets per night
While we truly love all dogs, the ones that leave us the happiest are the one who love to play with other dogs and kids, and are trained on Invisible Fence (or can be off leash without wandering). We try out best to keep everyone as clean as possible, but when dogs play they can get messy, especially if the ground is wet. When time permits, I may be able to provide bathing & drying prior to pups going home (rates vary).
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
