When caring for pets in my client’s home, I treat their space and pets with the same respect and attention I give my own. I follow all instructions carefully from feeding routines and walk schedules to medication needs and behavior preferences to ensure a smooth, stress free experience for both the pet and the owner. I take time to build trust with each pet by moving at their pace, using a calm voice, and creating a positive, safe environment. I understand that some pets may need time to warm up, and that’s okay I’m patient, gentle, and always prioritize their comfort and well-being. Leash behavior do they pull, lunge at other dogs, bark a lot? Social preferences (dog park friendly or not?). Play style (fetch, tug, calm walks). To give your pet the best care, I like to know their daily routine, health needs, and personality ahead of time. Things like feeding schedule, medications, favorite activities, and any fears or triggers help me make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for just like they would with you.
A typical day
Playtime with their favorite toys (fetch, tug, squeaky toys). Enrichment games (snuffle mats, hide & seek with treats). Extra belly rubs, ear scratches, and cuddle time. Walks tailored to their energy level (slow sniff walks or energetic strolls). Practicing basic commands if the owner is training (sit, stay, paw).

Pet care experience
I’ve been a proud dog mom for 8 years and a cat owner for 2, giving me hands on experience with different pet personalities, energy levels, and care routines. In addition to being a pet parent, I’ve also worked in a veterinary office as an animal care giver, where I learned how to handle pets in a variety of situations from basic care to assisting with medication, post surgery recovery, and nervous animals. This background has given me the confidence to care for pets of all ages, including energetic puppies, senior pets, and those with special needs.
