Safety, trust & environment

I keep a structured household, with my dogs completely separate (zero contact & out of sight) from visiting dogs, unless appropriate for them to interact. If your dog likes other dogs, we can do 1 on 1 introductions and play/free time during your dog’s stay! My older dog is an amazing puppy raiser, if you have a pup needing to socialize! We strive for positive relationships between the dogs, and will only have our dogs interact if they are a good match. I own a private 1/2 acre yard with plenty of space for exploring and fetch/play, and have dog treadmills (dog pacer and dog trotter), to provide adequate exercise for high energy dogs or when weather is too hot, rainy, etc. In the summer, I fill kiddie pools for water fun! I am able to accommodate dogs that are not tolerant of dogs or people in their space or sight. I do not leave dogs loose unattended, and do not have visitors in our home, for safety reasons. I require dogs to be crate trained; we use crates at night, meal times, and when we are out of the house. For transport and day trips/outings, your dog would ride in a crate in the car (Ruffland, Dakota, Impact). I am Wilderness First Aid certified for dogs, and am certified in canine & feline nutrition with a specialization in raw feeding. I am comfortable & familiar with subcutaneous injections and administering pills & specialized time-sensitive medications. I have a grooming setup and offer basic groom; bath, brush and nails. Additional fees apply for dogs that are not crate trained, dogs with medical or behavioral needs (including separation anxiety), extra midday meal (standard is 1-2 meals per day), fresh/raw food diets (anything needing freezer/fridge space), and/or cleaning/grooming. Fresh/raw food diets and extra midday meals must be pre-arranged. New policies: Dogs that use harnesses must additionally or alternatively be fitted with a slip lead or alternative appropriate collar for dropoff/pickup and walks, for my safety. A slip lead can be provided if needed! Tardiness for dropoff/pickup time may incur a late fee. Please be respectful of my schedule, and of other clients that may be after you!

Training: My training philosophy is to build a relationship through play and engagement, and make training fun and rewarding by finding what motivates your dog! Out of all the dog trainers that I consulted with om their boarding rules and expectations, Coralie was the most clear on her structured approach. It would be my 9-month puppy's first time boarding, so I was a little stressed to find someone who can deal with separation anxiety (since we weren't sure if this would be the case) and maintain our puppy's manners from his existing training. Coralie was the only one that gave us advice to get anti-anxiety meds from our vet beforehand and suggested doing a 3-night trial before our long trip to get our puppy acclimated. Our puppy came back home confident and happy, and did well overnight. I trust Coralie with my dog and would absolutely recommend her to anyone who's looking for an experienced dog boarder.

Coralie was awesome with our pup, Karmen! This was Karmen's first boarding experience and she came home happy and calm. Highly recommend Coralie, both for boarding and training!
