Pet care experience

Veterinary Student Pet Sitter

What sets me apart is my combination of professional veterinary experience and genuine love for animals. I'm currently a fourth-year veterinary student and will be graduating as a veterinarian next May, so your pet will be in the hands of someone who is trained in animal health, behavior, and recognizing when something isn't right. I've worked in the veterinary field since I was 14 years old, starting as a kennel technician where I cared for boarding dogs and cats, making sure they were comfortable, safe, and stress-free during their stay. Over the years, I've continued working in veterinary medicine and have gained experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I was also fortunate to share my life with three wonderful dogs—a Pomeranian, a Maltese, and a Pit Bull mix—who taught me a lot about the unique personalities and needs of different breeds. That experience, combined with my veterinary background, has given me a deep appreciation for the bond we share with our pets and the trust it takes to leave them in someone else's care. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and dogs with special medical needs, including administering medications if needed. When I'm house sitting, I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or just wants to stick to their normal routine, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, playing pickleball, and spending time at the beach, so I'm always happy to keep active dogs engaged and exercised if that's what they enjoy!

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in your home, my top priority is keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I know that pets thrive on familiarity, so I do my best to follow the schedule they're used to. Whether that means a 30-minute walk each morning, dedicated playtime, feeding at specific times, or simply sticking to their favorite daily routine, I'll make sure they receive the same level of care they're accustomed to. As a fourth-year veterinary student with years of experience working in veterinary medicine, I'm also comfortable administering medications, monitoring for any changes in your pet's health or behavior, and providing attentive, compassionate care. I understand that every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to their individual personality and needs. Above all, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. My goal is to make the transition as stress-free as possible by providing reliable care, plenty of affection, and the consistency they need to feel at home.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a fourth-year veterinary student, I have classes each weekday for a maximum of four hours through December. This flexible schedule allows me to spend the majority of my day with your pet, providing plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and potty breaks. Because of my veterinary training, I'm also comfortable maintaining your pet's regular routine, administering medications if needed, and keeping a close eye on their health and well-being. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away by giving them consistent care and plenty of one-on-one attention.
