Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this sitter based on our experience. During Lola’s stay, the sitter messaged us asking whether she was on flea prevention. We explained that Lola has previously been on NexGard, was simply due for her next dose, and has never had fleas. We also specifically asked whether she had seen any fleas on Lola and were told that she had not. When we picked Lola up, we found a flea on Lola almost immediately after she came out of the sitter’s house, before we had even finished loading her into the car. Once we got home and thoroughly checked her, we found numerous fleas. Lola had never had fleas before this stay, and we immediately had to purchase flea treatment, bathe her again, and treat our home as a precaution, resulting in additional expense, time, and stress. What disappointed us most was the communication. We specifically asked whether any fleas had been seen and were told no, yet we discovered fleas immediately after pickup. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, the sitter suggested the fleas may have come from our car or yard, even though we found the first flea before Lola had even returned home. In addition, we found the sitter to be rude during our interactions, including making an unsolicited comment about Lola’s weight, which we did not appreciate. We were also surprised that the home smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Overall, this experience resulted in significant stress, unexpected expense. Based on our experience, we do not recommend this sitter.

We booked our first dog sitter via Rover with Connie. Excellent communication in advance of and during the stay. She took great care of our 1 year old. We appreciated that she was so flexible with drop off and pick up times and that she sent photos of our pup while we were away. As a dog trainer in training, she practiced with our dog who needs the help. As a groomer, Connie made sure that our puppy went home clean!
