Where Every Pet Feels Like Family
Hi there! We’re Colleen and Ryan — a huge animal-loving family from Aurora, Illinois. We both grew up surrounded by dogs and cats and truly can’t imagine life without them. Over the years, we’ve cared for pets of all sizes, from 10-lb lap dogs to 115-lb gentle giants! We live in a house with a large fenced-in yard that’s perfect for playtime, walks, and fetch. Our two boys (ages 6 and 8) are just as kind and gentle with animals as we are — they’ve grown up learning how to love and care for pets. Our furry family currently includes our goofy and gentle English Labrador, Skye, our sweet and snuggly chihuahua, Nacho, and our two brother cats, Pete and Steve — who basically think they’re dogs and love to join in on the fun! I (Colleen) work from home in talent acquisition, and Ryan is a high school science teacher, so there’s almost always someone home to give your pets plenty of attention and care. We’d love the chance to help care for your pets as if they were our own — they’ll be in wonderful hands with us!

Colleen took great care of my dog, Truffle, over the weekend and I had a wonderful experience. She was excellent with communication, very responsive, and kept me updated with regular pictures, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Truffle was happy and well cared for. I was very happy with her service and would absolutely love to use her again in the future!
Colleen did an excellent job with walking our dog Charlie! Very specific about his needs, and it all worked out perfectly! Thank you we’re looking forward to booking with Colleen in the future!
Colleen was excellent with our two boys! Our little pup Henry can be a handful but they opened their home to him and we know he had a great weekend. They were very flexible and patient with us as our travel plans got interrupted - this was much appreciated. Highly recommend!
Colleen is a caring. Responsible dog lover. She is a proud mama to a young daschund and a rescued chihuahua. She grew up with labs, a puggle, and a daschund. She would love watching your dog. . I would trust her with any dog.
Like myself, Colleen is a true animal lover. She grew up with all kinds of pets (dogs, cats, fish, hamsters) and is very responsible and caring for her pets. She currently has two dogs and a cat who are treated like children and have the best life. Last year, she rescued a chihuahua who was found on the side of the road. He was terrified, skinny, beat up and very unhealthy. She nursed him back to good health and he has become the best dog in the world. Even taught him a few tricks, proving that she knows what she is doing. I recommend Colleen to be a Rover pet sitter 100%.

Schedule

I have a large fenced-in backyard with plenty of space to roam and play. I have multiple crates for both large and small dogs, if requested.

A typical day
When caring for your pets, rest assured that they will be given so much love and attention. We love taking our dogs for walks and live in a community with great walking trails. We have a large fenced in yard that is perfect for playing fetch. Or if your pets are more of the couch-potato sort, they are more than welcome to hop up on the sofa with us for pets and snuggles.
