Exercise, attention, & love💕

I loved dogs so much as a child that I remember asking my grandma’s neighbors in Fort Lauderdale, FL if I could walk their dogs. They gladly agreed! They chose to pay my sister and I but I would have done it for free (which was good because our mom wouldn’t let us accept the money! 😅)! It combines two of my passions- exercise and dogs! I wanted a dog SO BAD that I would save the ads in the newspaper featuring dogs for sale all the way until I was 12, when my parents finally agreed to let me get a dog. We went to a farm to get him and the day we went there, his mom had had moved the litter of pups to a hollowed out log in the woods! It’s as if she knew what was happening! We almost had to give up the idea of leaving with a puppy. But finally we found them—-hoooray!! I had gone there with the intention of getting a male dog and this one puppy kissed me. It turns out he was the only male in the whole litter! I took a very short video of him (my camera died) and cherished it for weeks until somehow it deleted from overuse (technology wasn’t so good back then). Good thing soon they were old enough to go to new homes. This was my first dog—Eddie (a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd/Komondor mix)!! He and my sister’s first dog Jasmine had my second dog Grizzly (born in 2009, my JR yr of HS), who became the beloved family dog—“my big ‘ole boy!” (He’s the big dog featured in the pictures above)😍🥹🙏. He was such a loving dog. He always had to be holding hands or resting his big hand on me if he was near, which he always wanted to be near. He became my longtime best friend. Growing up on a farm & being a foster dog mom with Unleashed Pet Rescue, I’ve worked with puppies to senior dogs who need medical care, tiny dogs, huge dogs, and many other pets (goats, rabbits, horses, cows, chickens, geese, etc)! I love animals so my heart is to take really good of care of your sweet fur or feather babies. I look forward to meeting them and you. 😊

They were so good with my dog and so flexible with my current change of dates. Will definitively send my dog with them again. They even gave my dog a bath and trimmed.

Colleen took such good care of our dogs!! She walked them twice a day and provided them plenty of playtime outside. She provided updates with pictures and videos several times a day. We truly felt the dogs were in good hands and will take them to her again the next time we need a dog sitter.

Schedule

When I lived up in KC, I fostered and adopted two puppies. Now my husband and I have three sweet dogs and a cat who are some of our bestest friends. Not only are pets a daily part of our lives, but they are part of the family to everyone in our close circle. You can rest easy when your pets are with us because we care very much for animals and like to see to it that they are treated very well. I work at home and my work time is flexible so I’ll have time to watch after your pets. Taking care of your fur babies is both a honor and a job we take very seriously. 🦮🐾 We are careful to keep our doors locked 🔒 and I supervise the dogs when they are in our backyard. Spending half my life in the big city, this comes naturally for me! All animals will be checked for fleas & ticks prior to boarding. We like to make sure our home is a safe, pest-free place for animals and we so appreciate your help with this.🙏

My mom told me when I was young that I should be a vet because I’ve always loved animals. We have great walking trails near our house and a nice dog park as well so we try to walk your dog while boarding with us.

My philosophy is the more you can let me know about your pet ahead of time, the better I can care for them. I also appreciate knowing what your expectations are for my care of them so that I can strive to meet your expectations! ☺️
