Availability
I prefer sits of three days or more. My schedule is flexible so they won’t be spending too much time alone. In the spring and the fall, I typically teach swim lessons in the afternoon early evening. In the summer, I teach more usually in the mornings with a break in the afternoon to come home and eat and rest, take care of the pets. Then back out again for more lessons in the evening or teaching online. I teach online during the winter

I do like to take the dogs for walks. I stay overnight at your home. I make sure the house is nice and clean when I leave and the linens washed. If checkout isn’t too early, I will make up the beds. If something happens on your trip, I’m usually able to make changes if you need me to stay longer or just change the dates. Also, if you have trouble with your return travel, I will come back to your house to be with your pets.
Information Colleen J. would like to know about your pet
Dogs: Will they run if they get out? Are they good on the leash? Cats: Are they friendly? Horses: Do they ever get skittish? If you need me to ride them, is there anything along the trail that they don't like? Horses are so funny about some things.
A typical day
I love throwing balls for dogs and making cat toys with random objects. Cats are so funny when they want to play. I try to train dogs to drop the ball if they like to keep it. I was able to train my daughter's dog - the black retriever in the pictures - and was able to because the only thing he likes more than having the ball in his mouth is running after it. I trained one horse starting at age 1 by lunge line, but he was the sweetest horse ever, my baby, so it was easy. My other horse that I raced gymkhana with had suffered some abuse so it took awhile, but after about a year, I had her calmed down where she wouldn't rear up and go crazy every time she saw the bridle. We started out using 3 men to hold her with ropes to do tube-worming, but I got her to the point where it could just be me, holding her halter and talking to her.

Experienced home and pet owner
Pet care experience
I raised 5 children and we were the house with dogs, cats, fish, birds and the neighborhood kids. Now everyone’s grown and I currently have no pets of my own, so I’m free to give all the attention to your pet. I teach English as a second language online and I teach swimming! My days are flexible so your pets won’t be alone for extended periods of time.

Colleen takes good care of our pups!

Gave good feedback and lots of videos, pictures

Colleen was great! Will definitely rebook!

Colleen took great care of our two dogs while we were out of town. She played with them and loved them as if they were her own. Our house was well maintained as well. We will definitely be asking Colleen to help us out again in the future. Thank you so much!
