Pet care experience

Experienced, Dedicated Dog Mom

I've taken care of everything from snakes to guinea pigs to dogs to horses. Amphibians as well. I have worked in boarding for over 4 years, and I have been a vet assistant for one. I started off volunteering at the Charlotte Nature Museum when I was 15. I have interned at Carolina Raptor Center. I love all animals in any shape or size. I am also certified in Knowing Dogs 101 and 201, which covers recognizing individual and pack behavior. (ex. when your dog is in a doggy daycare and is playing with other pups.) I have two furbabies of my own, a guinea pig named Tatiana, and a spoiled rotten but adorable mutt named Sora. I promise hou that I will love your pets too!

I would trust Colleen with my fur babies any time. She has a wonderful way with animals. I know she has experience working with animals in veterinary and boarding facilities so I knew they are in safe and capable hands. Will definitely use her in the future.

Colleen is amazing with animals. I worked with her at a veterinary hospital and she was my go-to whenever I needed help. She knew how to appropriately handle the animals and was one of the most efficient workers on our team. She brought a lot to the table in terms of fresh ideas and was such a bright spot in our hospital. I loved working with Colleen and know that she will make a wonderful dog sitter.

Colleen has an exceptional love for dogs (not just dogs - every living creature, actually)! I've not seen kindness surpass hers; she always puts the need of a dog first. The highest compliment I could ever pay someone is that I would trust them with my dog. Magnolia met and fell in love with Colleen in the same moment. I never hesitated for Noli to be cared for by Colleen. I trusted her completely to be in tune with my girl, to understand that this dog was a huge touchstone in my life. I lost Magnolia in August. Colleen grieved right beside me. When my heart is ready to love another puppy, Colleen will be among the first to meet her and the absolute first to take care of her when I must be gone.

If you look at Colleen's photo albums, nearly all of them show her hugging, cuddling, and caring for animals especially various dog breeds including one she owns herself; so, if you need a pet sitter or dog walker, Colleen is your girl.

I worked with Colleen at a doggie daycare and boarding facility and during that time it was clear just how much she cared for all of our furry guests. She treated the dogs as if they were her own and was always one of the first to advocate on their behalf.

Schedule

I have an open schedule for looking after your pet. I am more than happy to do morning and mid-day walks, visits, and feedings. I am unable to do late-night visits at this time. (After 8pm)

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Colleen can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
I would like to know how your dog is on a leash, if they get along with other dogs, any special needs (such as Blindness, Deafness, Arthritis, Epilepsy, etc.) or medications if they are on any. I would also love to have your vet's number in case of an emergency. I also want to know how they are with new people; this is because if they are, I can make sure to take things slow.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
