Pet sitting fits perfectly into my current schedule. I’m completing my degree through online classes, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to prioritize the pets in my care. Because I have the ability to adjust my day as needed, I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their personality, routine, and individual needs. Important information includes their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, comfort items, medications or health concerns, and any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of. I also want to know how they interact with new people, other animals, and their environment so I can make them feel safe and comfortable. Clear communication with pet parents helps me provide the best possible care and ensure their pet feels happy and loved while they are away.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I love tailoring my care to their personality and routine. A typical day might include morning potty breaks or walks, feeding, playtime with their favorite toys, plenty of belly rubs and cuddles, and making sure they have fresh water and a comfortable place to relax. For more active pets, I’m happy to go on longer walks or play games to help them burn off energy. For senior or more laid-back pets, I’m just as happy to spend quality time keeping them company and giving them lots of love and attention.
