We had a very concerning experience picking up our friend’s dog from this Rover sitter. At both drop off and pick up we had to wait for him, and wanting to meet at different spots of the apartment complex.We arrived around 10 AM and saw the sitter taking her toward the grassy area. She immediately began having severe, repeated diarrhea. The sitter told us he had given her one treat and also stated that she had a solid bowel movement earlier that morning. After cleaning her up, we put her in the car and drove to a nearby pet supply store so we could bathe her. When we arrived, she urinated an extremely large amount. Because of how much she urinated, we asked the sitter when she had last been taken out to pee. He told us the night before, which was extremely concerning considering we picked her up around 10 AM. This also left us confused because he had just told us he had taken her out earlier that morning and she had a solid bowel movement. We cleaned everything up and attempted to bring her inside the pet store. Almost immediately, she had another large episode of watery diarrhea all over the floor. We have photos documenting both the repeated diarrhea and the amount of urine. What concerns us most is not simply that she became sick—dogs can develop diarrhea for many reasons. It is the combination of her condition at pickup, the enormous amount of urine she released shortly afterward, the sitter telling us she had not been taken out to pee since the previous night, the conflicting information we were given about her morning potty break, and the fact she was trembling when she came out. Also, no photos or communication was given through the visit on her condition. We trusted this sitter to provide appropriate care and bathroom breaks while she was in his care. Based on what we observed at pickup and what we were told directly, we are extremely disappointed and concerned about the level of care she received. We would not use this sitter again.

Pet care is my full-time focus, and I work from home, allowing me to dedicate 110% of my time and attention to the dogs I care for. My flexible schedule ensures that their needs—whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just companionship—are always my top priority throughout the day. Because I’m home, I can provide constant supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of love and engagement. This also allows me to adjust easily to your dog’s routine, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for as if they were at home with you.

Safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home. If I’m caring for pets in my home, I ensure the space is clean, pet-friendly, and free of hazards like small objects or toxic plants. I provide plenty of comfy areas for rest and have secure outdoor spaces for safe playtime. I closely supervise pets during activities and always make sure they feel at ease in a calm, welcoming environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with the utmost respect. I follow the pet’s usual routine to maintain consistency and reduce any stress they might feel while their owners are away. I also stay vigilant about locking doors, securing gates, and keeping the pet safe during walks or outdoor time. In either case, I make communication a priority, providing regular updates, photos, and videos to reassure owners that their furry family member is happy and well cared for.

A typical day caring for dogs is filled with fun, attention, and lots of tail-wagging! Mornings usually start with a brisk walk or a backyard play session to burn off energy and get the day started on a positive note. I make sure their meals are served on time with fresh water always available. For activities, I tailor the fun to the dog’s personality and energy level. High-energy dogs might enjoy a game of fetch, tug-of-war, or a long walk to explore the neighborhood or local trails. For those who prefer a slower pace, we might enjoy some sniffing adventures during a leisurely stroll or some extra cuddle time. I also like to engage their minds with puzzle toys or training games to keep them mentally stimulated. Throughout the day, I make sure they feel loved, safe, and completely at ease, ensuring they have the best care while their owners are away.
