I’ve been around animals since I was 8 years old and have cared for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and small animals. I’m comfortable with all sizes and breeds, from small to large dogs, and I understand that each pet has their own personality and needs. My experience has taught me how to be patient, attentive, and responsive to animals, whether that means keeping up with an energetic dog, giving extra care to a shy pet, or maintaining a consistent routine. I truly enjoy being around animals and treat every pet like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

I take the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet very seriously. I follow each client’s instructions closely to maintain their pet’s normal routine, including feeding, litter care, medication if needed, and any specific care guidelines. I approach each pet with patience and respect, allowing them to feel comfortable and secure in their own environment. I also treat every client’s home with the utmost respect. I keep spaces clean and tidy, follow all house rules, and ensure doors, gates, and entry points are securely handled. I am mindful of security and privacy at all times, and I leave the home as I found it or better. My goal is to provide reliable, trustworthy care so pet parents feel confident and at ease while they’re away.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m a full-time online college student, which gives me a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive and consistent care. As a single mom to a 9-month-old, I spend most of my time at home, so I’m already in a routine that supports being present, reliable, and responsive to pets’ needs throughout the day. Pet sitting and drop-ins align well with my lifestyle, allowing me to balance school, parenting, and caring for animals without conflicting with a traditional work schedule. I’m able to incorporate feeding, playtime, litter care, and companionship into my day while maintaining a calm and structured environment. This also gives me the opportunity to do something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals—while earning income in a way that fits my current responsibilities.

- Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to know their daily routine, including feeding schedules, portion sizes, walk times, and any medications they may need. I also like to understand their personality, energy level, and any behaviors I should be aware of, such as anxiety, triggers, or how they typically react to new people, other animals, or changes in environment. It’s helpful to know their likes and dislikes, favorite toys or activities, and how they prefer to be interacted with (playful, calm, independent, cuddly, etc.). For dogs, information about leash behavior, potty habits, and any training commands they recognize is especially useful. For cats, details about litter box preferences, hiding spots, and comfort level with handling are important. I also make sure to know any health concerns, allergies, or emergency instructions, along with veterinary contact information. Clear communication about house rules, home access, and any special instructions ensures I can provide safe, consistent, and respectful care for both the pet and the home.
