My wife (Marcelle) and I live in a welcoming house in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk from the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and 20 minutes from UH. We're also close to Wade Oval, Case Western Reserve, Playhouse Square, CSU, Museums, and Theater Districts. Your pup will love our large, securely fenced backyard – perfect for safe playtime and stretching their legs. I provide worry-free pet sitting for those visiting from out of town and traveling with pets. You can relax and enjoy yourself at your wedding, vacation, convention, or other event while in Greater Cleveland. We want to reassure you that we can accommodate you by keeping your pet completely separated from any other pets during her/his/their stay. We operate a dedicated pet care space with secure, individual crates, and we have a fully fenced yard where your dog can enjoy solo playtime. For those interested in an exclusive stay: We typically host up to eight dogs at a time. Since the current standard rate is $50 per dog per day, we normally operate at a capacity. We can certainly keep the house limited to just your dogs if you’d like with the buyout rate of $300 per day to cover the other spots we’d be turning away. Otherwise, if you're comfortable with them being part of the group, they are more than welcome to join the pack! My home is a social, multi-dog environment which is usually a lot of fun for friendly pups. Nevertheless, when necessary, we have the space to keep the dogs separated. Feel free to schedule a Meet & Greet. This is the best way to see how your dogs handle the space and ensure it's a good fit for everyone before your trip.

Information Clifford H. would like to know about your pet
Please tell me about: Potty time: Can your dog hold their potty for 4-8 hours? Separation Anxiety: Does your dog whine or bark for extended periods of time if no human is in sight? Barking Habits: Do they tend to bark a lot, or are they generally quiet? Sleeping Habits: Does your dog sleep alone or must he/she be near humans? If these are issues for your pet, please bring dog pads (2 per day if accident prone), calming chews and/or melatonin. If you decide to book with us, please bring the following: food, chew toy (if dog is at that stage), treats etc. We use individual stainless steel bowls and stands; and wash them after each feeding. Potty breaks: Your dog must be able to hold their potty for 4-8 hours. The humans must sleep. **$100 per day additional charge if your dog is unable to hold their potty for 4-8 hours or if your dog has severe anxiety and requires a human in their presence to sleep at night. The daily rate for each dog will be $150. If your fur baby requires an injectable medication, a $150 per stay fee will be added to your rate. Additional Services As we will be in the backyard a lot, we can give your fur baby a bath prior to pick up ($35 per bath). If you're interested, I can do a mini photo session for $60, which includes 10 high-quality digital photos. This will be charged s as a “Drop-In Visit.” In the event you would like us to pickup and drop off your dog, we can do that between the hours of 7am-9am and 7pm-9pm ($50 round trip within Cuyahoga County). Tips are not required; but they are appreciated!
A typical day
Our main activities will focus on classic canine favorites: being outside and games of fetch or hide-and-seek. Even if you have a senior dog, we'll tailor our activities to their energy levels and preferences. We utilize crating for sleeping (or during short transition periods). I'm always happy to discover what your pet enjoys most! Are there any particular games or activities your dog absolutely loves?

Pet care experience
My life has always been enriched by animals! From gerbils and hamsters to frogs, turtles, fish, and rabbits, I've had a wide variety of beloved pets. I even seem to be a magnet for stray dogs – they always find their way to me! We had 2 recent furry family members - Miss Chewbacca (Chewie) and Worf. Both were rescues and lived to become wonderful senior dogs (15 & 14). I understand the special attention and love they need. Also, please note that I offer pick-up and drop-off services within Cuyahoga County for $50 round-trip fee. If outside of Cuyahoga County, please get in touch with me to discuss

Always happy to drop Deanie off here! Amazing sitters

Our first time leaving our big baby (Max) alone without having family members present. We were truly nervous that he wouldn't get the proper care he was used too. Clifford and his wife Marcelle took wonderful care of him. Pictures and updates was given daily. Don't hesitate or worry about using these wonderful people to take care of your pet. They made my vacation much more pleasurable.

Cliff and his amazing wife are the best! Our senior dog is pretty locked into his likes and habits, but lodging with Cliff & Co., he hung out with some younger dogs, wandered around their perfect yard, slept on cue, and was loved for a week! When we picked him up, instead of being stressed and tired, he was calm and energetic (well...for a 15-year-old!) Great daily photos and emails.

Clifford and his wife Marcelle are amazing boarders! This is the second time we have left our pups with them and we could not be more pleased! They send regular photo and video updates throughout the stay and made sure we were up to date on any incidents that happened (nothing bad just a fast eating puppy needing a slow feeder lol). They always have other pups for ours to play with and a great fenced in backyard! Could not recommend enough. We will be back again!
