Intuitive, calm, patient & caring
Hi! Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up caring for dogs and cats, looking after strays and rehoming them, so learning how to read their moods, earn their trust, and make them feel safe comes very naturally to me, it's a big part of who I am. In 2024, I spent a few months volunteering at a dog rescue in Portugal. From daily walks and feeding routines to cleaning, giving medication and gently socialising dogs, I got to know each dog as an individual. I especially loved watching shy or nervous dogs slowly come out of their shell and helping them get ready for their forever homes. Most of them have been rehomed. I regularly look after my friends’ dogs, two alsatian sisters and a sweet 3 yo lab, and I’m very comfortable with big dogs as well as smaller ones. I’m calm, intuitive and patient, and I always tune into what each animal needs in that moment — whether that’s an energetic walk, gentle encouragement, or just some quiet company.

Safety, trust & environment
I take time to get to know each animal’s personality, likes and boundaries, especially if they are shy or nervous, making sure they get plenty of attention, calm reassurance and exercise appropriate to their needs. This includes regular walks, playtime, feeding, cleaning up, and administering medication if needed. Comfortable working with pets who need patience and gentle encouragement. My aim is for pets to feel relaxed, happy and well cared for, and for owners to feel completely at ease while they’re away.
Ratings and reviews
Bailey usually barks at new sitters but Claudia was very calm with him and he settled down quickly with her. Both Willow and Bailey cuddles up with her and she sent photos to show us that they were settled. Would recommend Claudia to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

Claudia has been amazing looking after Luna, my White German Shepherd Dog, Luna. She is so loving and patient with her and Luna really loves it when Claudia looks after her. Luna is a little reactive to other dogs and can be a little tricky to take for a walk, so this has been a problem for other dog walkers and dog carers. However, Claudia has a kind if magic with her and she is so relaxed in her company on walks and at home. She has looked after her overnight many times as well as day care. Often she will give her a good brush and has given Luna medication on various occasions. Also, when she has stayed overnight at my home, she cleans up the house before she leaves as Luna can bring in lots of debris and mud after walks and playing in the garden. Highly recommended and the best sitter Luna has had to date.

Schedule
Flexible and open to various times and days and finding something that works for us all. I'm working part-time at the moment and sometimes from home.
