From parakeets, mice, hamsters, cats, and dogs - for as long as I can remember, I've had the joy and privilege to love and care for them all. I am dedicated to providing pets with a safe and loving environment, and am passionate about researching the best care and nutritional needs for every animal I've come across. A pet is family, and they are for life. Their emotional, mental, and physical well-being is paramount, and your worries, your journey, and your dedication to your pet become mine as well. I will love them as if they were my own. Just a few years ago, I lost the little loves of my life; two shih tzu siblings named Teddybear and Sweetie. Teddy passed away first at 16 1/2 years old, and Sweetie the next year at 17 1/2 years old. Their passing left a huge hole in my heart, and thinking of them still brings me to tears. While I'm not yet ready for another pup, I would be so honored and thrilled to open up my home and shower your pets with all the love and care I have to give. I encourage meet and greets so that pet parents can feel at ease about the person and the environment they are leaving their precious little ones with. I have particular experience with senior pets, pets with medical and special needs, and pets with separation anxiety. I have taken care of pet birds, mice, hamsters, rats, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and bearded dragons. If you have the kind of pet I may not have taken care of before, I would be happy to learn about their care and follow your instructions to the T. I work from home, so I have more time to dedicate TLC, attention, extra supervision, and a constant physical presence for your pets. Pet parents will receive updates and pictures while they're away. I offer: boarding, overnights, home drop-ins, walks, and pet daycare. I am comfortable giving animals special care if needed, and have experience administering ointments, eye drops, ear drops, oral medication, medication requiring injections, and subcutaneous fluids. Last year, I took in a cat that was abandoned in my neighborhood. He is great with dogs, but can be kept in a separate area if your dog does not like cats. In fact, several of the dogs that often come to my house do not get along with cats, and that has not been an issue at all. I make sure to get to know your pet as much as possible. I monitor any health and behavioral changes over time, and am always ready and willing to help out with any ongoing needs and worries. Pet parents have called or written me for advice, suggestions, or simply to pour their heart out about their pets. I am here for you and them. I don't take the trust and faith pet parents have in me lightly. This becomes their second home, and your pet becomes family. I hope I get the opportunity to care for yours. Claudia is a gem! I was a little nervous having someone I don’t know come to the house to walk/care for my dog and pup. She came the day before for a meet and greet and she completely put me at ease. She is a natural with dogs, is professional, and so kind. When we were gone she sent us photos of them and let us know via text how it went. I will definitely hire her in the future! Claudio is extraordinary. We feel so comfortable with her keeping our dog at her home (or our home), and she provided such an enriched environment during his stay. Dog buddies, affection, games, and play! We are so grateful for her help when we have to travel.

Zeitplan
I work from home, in a neighborhood with many families and quiet streets. There are plenty of sidewalks and trails for walking. I am available everyday of the week for pet care, and do offer continuous care as a service (pets that cannot be left alone for less than 2 hours total per day, or at all). Continuous care has a separate rate.

I allow pets on my bed and furniture, and always take their safety and comfort into consideration. If boarding with me, I recommend that pet parents make sure their dogs have a flea and tick preventative as there are deer in my area. I always check pets thoroughly when coming back from walks. While I ask for advanced notice for house sitting stays, I may be able to accommodate same-day or next day bookings-- so please feel free to reach out! I also limit dog boarding stays to two dogs of any size, but I might have flexibility for up to three if all three are small dogs.

A dog's mental and physical stimulation is an important part of their daily care. When pups are with me, they get walked frequently around the neighborhood and nearby parks and trails. Should the pet parent permit, boarding stays might go on day trip adventures or on errands to dog-friendly establishments with me. There is always lots of play with toys, fetch, puzzle mats, playing chase, or simply goofing off with your pet.
