Pet care is my full time job! So all my time goes to dog walking, drop-in visits, & pet/house sitting. Since it is my full time job at the moment, I like to have the weekends to myself to visit family since I just recently moved to Sacramento & like to go back home to Napa. By special request & with enough notice I can be available on weekends for whatever you may need!

Every pet is different & may need certain things so I always follow the pet owners instructions i.e. diet, exercise, treats, grooming, potty breaks, etc. I use whatever the pet owner leaves for me like leashes, harnesses, toys, treats because, again, every pet is different & I wouldn’t want to risk anything by going outside of their regular diet by giving them certain treats or food or putting them in an unknown situation/environment. I always ask before I do anything like get them my own treats, toys, harness, or walking them in a certain neighborhood or going to a specific park. I am very observant & communicative so I will relay anything unusual to the pet owner & give them a daily update on how their pet(s) is doing.

Let me know what type of temperament your dog has so I can accommodate to their wants & needs. Above anything, their safety & level of comfort is priority so knowing their temperament would definitely help that way we’re not pushing boundaries. Also I would like to know if your dog is a jumper because I’ve learned that I can’t care for a larger dog that constantly jumps for very long. I easily bruise & don’t necessarily like getting scratched up but if it’s something your dog can learn not to do then I’m open to it.
A typical day
They will definitely receive lots & lots of love, pets, & scratches! Walks around the neighborhood are a given, exploring parks if there’s any nearby, & maybe even go hiking if your dog is up for it! Mostly we’ll be hanging out & lounging together, all up to the pets energy level.

Pet care experience
I have been on Rover for 2.5 years now & have prior experience with pet care. I have cared for a wide range of pets from month old puppies & kittens to 15+ year old dogs & cats all of different breeds, temperaments, & disabilities like hip dysplasia, deafness, separation anxiety, or simply an injury that gave them restrictions. I know your fur babies will be in good hands with me as I take care of them all as if they were my own! Most of my clients have senior dogs so I’ve learned a lot on how to care for them & I have a really big soft spot for the senior dogs. With senior care comes oral medication, so I know how to do that as well.

This was our very first time using Rover and having a house sitter, so we were a little nervous but our experience with Claudia blew all those concerns away! She was super communicative, punctual, and kept us in the loop while we were away. We are so happy we found her and thankful that she took great care of Finn and our home!
