I’m just getting back into freelance pet care after taking time off over the past couple of years to recover from injuries, and I’m really looking forward to being active in this work again. My schedule is currently quite flexible as I rebuild my client base, which allows me to accommodate a range of needs. I’d love the chance to meet your pets and provide attentive, reliable care. Take care!

When I’m pet sitting or doing drop-in visits, I start by confirming the schedule and any specific needs or routines for your pet. From there, I focus on being both thorough and present—making sure all daily care is handled carefully while also spending quality time with them. I approach each visit with genuine affection and attention, so your pet feels safe, cared for, and well-loved while you’re away.

Please feel free to share any specific needs or preferences your pet has—favorite walking routes, treats, routines, or activities. The more I know, the better I can tailor my approach, get to know them comfortably, and provide care that’s both attentive and well-suited to their individual needs.
A typical day
I enjoy spending real, engaged time with pets—whether that means playing, exploring their space or neighborhood, or making the most of their favorite toys and games. I balance that with attentive care for their daily needs, and I’m just as happy to relax together and keep them company when that’s what they need most.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up looking after our family dog and helping with neighbors’ pets, and in my 20s and early 30s I regularly sat for, fostered, and checked in on friends’ and community members’ animals—mostly dogs and cats, with the occasional bird, frog, or turtle. I adopted my own cat in my 30s and have lived with multiple pets while sharing homes with roommates. While much of this care was informal, it gave me a wide range of hands-on experience. After a particularly rewarding role walking dogs for a company from 2022 to 2023, I began freelancing and now work with clients through community referrals.
Reviews

Claude took care of my bernese mountain dog Glen Coco in my home while I was away on vacation, and they were an incredible caretaker for my girl. Glen Coco can be nervous with new people and hasn’t stayed with a non-relative in over 5 years, but she warmed up to Claude immediately at our meet-and-greet, and from the photos they sent, it was very obvious that Glen Coco was super happy and comfortable during the entire stay. Claude was very thorough in their communication and provided lots of great updates during my week away. They went above and beyond in their care for Glen Coco, spent lots of time loving on her, and made sure any issues were addressed promptly. They were also super respectful of my space and left my home in great condition. I will happily book them again for future stays!
Claude is a conscientious, genuinely thoughtful and reliable pet sitter who has watched my cats on multiple occasions. They have done everything from drop in visits to feed for weekend trips to a nearly month long in-home stay while I was traveling internationally. They have a special way of making animals feel safe and comfortable - I was amazed by the pictures they shared of my cats making themselves at home with them in bed, which is astounding as one cat is very skittish (but so loving) and the other is…complicated (yet delightful). They check in regularly, sent incredible pictures, and do everything I ask without fail. Claude is honest and communicative, and their joy with animals is evident in the work that they do. I’d recommend Claude without hesitation for all manner of pet care.
I cannot recommend Claude enough as a pet sitter. He has extensive experience caring for my cats and has always shown incredible care, attention to detail, and reliability. He takes the time to make sure their routines are followed closely and that they feel comfortable and cared for while I’m away. It gives me real peace of mind knowing they’re with someone I thoroughly trust. Anyone looking for a compassionate and dependable pet sitter would be lucky to have Claude caring for their pets.
Claude has taken care of my reactive dog countless times and has been beyond wonderful. My dog Jelly is very sensitive and Claude went above and beyond, meeting us many times to help get Jelly used to them before interacting. Claude is a fabulous dog walker and I would recommend them to anyone. Very caring and sweet.
