Availability

I can currently only provide limited drop-in visits or walks. Thank you for your understanding! I provide full attention to all pets in my care during their stay. My schedule is designed around their routines, with plenty of walks, play, cuddles, and rest throughout the day. I also volunteer at two animal shelters, but I carefully plan pet sitting around volunteer days whenever possible. Occasionally, I may need to step out for up to 5–6 hours, but I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and have everything they need during my brief absence. House sitting stays receive 100% focus, and I do my best to avoid volunteer conflicts entirely during those times. Short-term drop-in visits or dog walks are scheduled based on your dog’s routine and your needs, ensuring consistency and care they can rely on.

To make sure your pup has the best experience possible, I ask that you provide: Vaccination records (Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP) and flea/tick prevention. Health or medical conditions, including medications, allergies, or special care needs. Behavior and temperament details, such as how your dog interacts with other dogs, people, or new environments. Feeding schedule and preferences, including any dietary restrictions. Favorite toys, comfort items, or routines that help your dog feel secure and happy. Any training cues or rules you want reinforced during their stay. Providing this information helps me tailor care to your dog, ensuring a safe, fun, and stress-free visit or house sitting stay.

A typical day

I can currently only provide limited drop-in visits or walks. Thank you for your understanding! Typical Day Morning: Wake up and greet every pup with cuddles and attention. Potty breaks, fresh water, and breakfast served according to each dog’s routine. Short, supervised walks around the neighborhood or playtime in the yard, weather permitting. Midday: One-on-one play sessions with toys, fetch, or training reinforcement for puppies. Quiet rest time for nappers or seniors in cozy beds or safe crate spaces. Additional potty breaks and water refreshes. Short walks or yard time if desired. Afternoon: More supervised play or mental enrichment games to keep pups happy and engaged. Socialization with other friendly dogs, if appropriate. Nap and rest time in comfortable spaces, indoors or in the shaded yard. Evening: Dinner served according to each dog’s schedule. Evening walk or yard time to burn off energy before bedtime. Cuddle time, belly rubs, and gentle attention to wind down the day. House Sitting: During in-home stays, I follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. I’m fully dedicated to your pets, with occasional short absences (5–6 hours) only if volunteer work coincides — though I try to schedule house sitting around volunteer-free days. Throughout the Day: I send regular photo/video updates through Rover or text/email so you can see how your pup is doing. All dogs receive one-on-one attention, love, and supervision to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy.

Pet care experience

I can currently only provide limited drop-in visits or walks. Thank you for your understanding! 🐾 Welcome to My Home Away from Home for Dogs! 🐾 Hi, I’m Clarissa! For me, caring for dogs isn’t just a job — it’s a lifelong passion. With over 15 years of professional experience working with dogs and currently volunteering at two animal shelters, I’ve dedicated much of my life to making sure pups of all ages, sizes, and temperaments feel safe, loved, and understood. At home, I share my life with two wonderful dogs — Dexter, my spunky miniature pinscher who’s full of adventure, and Ollie, my gentle snuggle bug who loves to watch the world go by. Together, we make sure every guest pup feels like part of the family. --- 🏡 What Your Dog Can Expect Here Safe, home-style environment — Dogs are welcome on the furniture, my lap, or curled up in one of the many clean beds and blankets I keep around. My home is dog-friendly and set up with pets in mind. Outdoor play & comfort — My fenced yard is kept clean and safe, with shaded areas, comfy spots to lounge, and toys for every play style. I supervise all yard time, and dogs have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Never alone. One-on-one attention — I make sure every dog gets personal time every single day — play, cuddles, training, or just quiet companionship depending on their needs. Walks & adventures — Walks are available upon request, and I always put safety first (proper harnesses/leashes required). I also make sure we stick to cooler times of day in summer, and plenty of water breaks are included. Training reinforcement — I don’t provide formal training here, but I naturally reinforce good manners and provide gentle corrections when needed. For puppies, I include age-appropriate reinforcement and extra patience with their learning process. Crate & quiet time options — I don’t crate unless an owner requests it, but I do provide cozy open crates or quiet corners for pups who like their own safe spot. Bedtime crating can also be arranged if that’s your preference. --- 🐶 Special Care & Services Senior & special-needs love — I have a soft spot for seniors and special-needs pups. I’m patient, gentle, and experienced in giving medication, offering extra support, and making sure every dog is comfortable at their own pace. Puppy care — Puppies come with extra cleaning and extra learning! I happily provide structured potty breaks, supervised play, and plenty of guidance as they grow. Bathing for long-term stays — If your dog stays more than a week, I’ll send them home fresh and clean with a basic bath and blow-dry (unless otherwise requested). Drop-in visits — I also offer 30-minute drop-ins at your home within a short radius — feeding, potty breaks, litter scooping, water refresh, playtime, or a walk if needed. Perfect for busy days or last-minute emergencies. In-home house sitting — I offer limited in-home house sitting, so spots must be booked quickly when available. I dedicate 100% of my time to the pets in your home during house sitting stays. Occasionally, I may need to step out if my volunteer work coincides, but never for more than 5–6 hours. I make every effort to avoid volunteer conflicts during house sitting, so your pets always receive my full attention. I am currently unable to book in-home house sitting. I hope to be able to re-open scheduling in January 2026. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for understanding! --- 📸 Communication & Updates I know how much peace of mind matters, so I send regular photo and video updates through Rover (or text/email if you prefer). You’ll always know how your pup is doing — whether they’re playing fetch with Dexter, napping beside Ollie, or soaking up belly rubs. --- 💉 Vaccination Policy For the health and safety of all dogs in my care, I do require that every guest pup be up to date on core vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP) and flea/tick prevention. Proof of current records is required before any stay or service. This ensures a clean, safe, and worry-free environment for everyone. --- ❤️ My Promise Every dog I meet is treated like one of my own. Whether you have a bouncy puppy, a shy rescue, or a wise senior, I’ll meet them where they are and make sure they feel loved, secure, and cared for. If you’re looking for a safe, reliable, and loving home away from home for your dog, I’d be honored to welcome them into my pack. 🐾 I am pet first aid and CPR certified. Please note - occasionally I have volunteer work, classes and workshops that I attend. If anything conflicts with scheduling, we can discuss as I am generally very flexible! Thanks!

If I could give Clarissa 10 stars, I would. We left our pups for 2 weeks for the holidays and almost felt like they were with us the entire time. We got the sweetest update of pictures and their adventures every single day. They came home happy, healthy and clean! (She gave them a bath which is going above and beyond and they smell great!) Meeting her was super easy and relaxed, as was pick up. If you are in the area and need someone to take care of your fur babies and not have a worry in the world, look no further. Thank you so much Clarissa + family!

I felt confident in Clarissa watching my babies upon the meet & greet. She exceeded my expectations during the visits while I was away! The pictures I received were all I needed to know they were enjoying every second of her company! Thank you very much for a job well done :)
