I have over 2 years of professional animal care experience with my time working at Animal Services. From bottle feeding baby kittens to walking Great Danes I have worked with hundreds of different animals each with their own unique personalities. I have experience with shy/nervous, hyper/energetic, and reactive dogs. I have a passion for understanding animal behavior so that I may ensure each animal feels safe and cared for. I currently am the proud owner of two beautiful cats, but I’ve have lived and cared for cats and dogs my whole life. I have always a great love for animals. My time working at an animal shelter only amplified my appreciation of them and love for taking care of them. I’ve had training in canine and feline behavior, giving medications, and defensive animal handling, and basic animal training.

My philosophy is to build trust with animals by learning their unique personalities and approaching with compassion and confidence. I believe in open and clear communication so that you can feel confident in your pets care. I am able to keep any of your pets separated, give medications, and of course supply lots of play time and cuddles.

Clarissa was so sweet and answered all my questions. She even sent additional pictures which warmed our hearts as we missed our sweet girl. She was prompt and went above to clean up her new puppy messes.
Clarissa has been walking my dog Poncho and I see how he is more relaxed and eager to go on his walks. She spends time walking him and also making him feel at ease. I appreciate how she is always responsive and sends details and info about his walks.

Clarissa has pet sit for me in the past and had watched over my two rabbits. She went above and beyond my expectations and not only gave me frequent updates on how my rabbits were doing, but she also treated my rabbits as if they were her own! I gave a very in depth list of my rabbits daily routine as they can be quite particular, before my trip she asked clarifying questions and really made me feel confident that she understood what I wanted for them. I got photos and messages about their personalities that really proved she took the time and played with them like I asked. When I got them back, they were both clean and healthy! One thing with rabbits, especially my rabbits, is they don’t take to change in their routine well. Yet they both seemed very relaxed and happy, telling me she continued our normal routine very well! On top of that, Clarissa has two pets of her own, who are very well cared for. I originally met clarissa at work at animal services for our city, she has shown exceptional skill at handling both dogs and cats, and she was also the most skilled person in our office when it came to caring for neonatal kittens! She could get even the fussiest kittens to eat. Clarissa is overall an extremely caring, responsible, skillful, and loving pet care person and would do remarkably well caring for pets.

Schedule
I work from home so my schedule is completely flexible. I have plenty of time to give your pups and kitties lots of play time, snuggles, and enrichment activities for whatever schedule works best for them.
