As a graduate student, I have a fairly flexible schedule that allows me to build pet care thoughtfully into my routine. For walks and check-ins, I’m generally most available early mornings and late afternoons/early evenings, which works well for many pets’ rhythms. I’m organized and reliable about maintaining feeding, play, medication, or walking routines.

I treat house sitting with the same care I would my own home, including respecting cleanliness, maintenance routines, and any household preferences or pet care instructions you provide. In a client’s home, I aim to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment while maintaining their usual routines around feeding, walks, play, medication, and companionship. I’m not able to host pets in my own home because I’m a pet parent myself, and my rescue kitty does best as the only pet. But I’m very happy to come to you and care for your pets where they feel most at ease.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know their age, temperament, energy level, any allergies, medications, medical conditions, feeding schedule, potty/litter routine, triggers or anxieties (other dogs, loud noises, separation anxiety, handling sensitivities, etc.), and any behavioral quirks or preferences that help them feel safe and comfortable. I also like to know their favorite toys, treats (if allowed), vet contact information, and any house rules or routines you’d like me to maintain.
A typical day
Lots of cuddles, playtime, belly rubs, and enrichment! I love engaging pets with games, toys, and plenty of attention tailored to their personality and energy level. If they enjoy outings, I’m happy to take dog-friendly adventures to the park, on neighborhood walks, or even for a special pup cup. For cats, that might look like interactive play, cozy companionship, window watching, and gentle enrichment based on their temperament.

Pet care experience
I’m an experienced pet caregiver, longtime cat foster, and cat parent myself (my own cat was a foster fail). I have a particular soft spot for senior cats and larger breeds -my last foster was an elder rescue Maine Coon - so I’m comfortable with pets who may need extra patience, routine, or specialized care. I enjoy thinking creatively about enrichment and play to keep pets engaged and active, whether that’s interactive play for cats or long walks and outdoor time for dogs. I love dogs as well and am happy to take them on walks and little adventures suited to their temperament and energy. I’m attentive, reliable, and committed to caring for animals in a way that helps them feel safe and at ease. I also offer house sitting for an additional fee.
