Pet care experience
Specializing in senior dogs
I’ve been taking care of pets regularly since 2017, but I’ve loved pets for much longer. Once I adopted my first dog Mia, my love for her grew into a love for every dog I lay eyes on, and I quickly became the designated sitter for all my friends’ pets. I’ve done it all from staying at their houses, taking their pets into my house, popping in for walks or play dates, and even taking in lost animals off the street to reunite them with their owners. Anything that gives me a chance to show an animal love and genuine care sets my heart aglow. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, and that’s why when I pet sit, I treat your pets like my own because I know that’s exactly what I would want for Mia. I know every animal is different and I work with pet owners to set a plan for their pet and I follow it to a tee to keep the pet’s routine as regular as possible while the owner is away. I have extensive experience working with senior pets and pets with health problems (Mia being one herself), and I know first hand how important it is to find someone you trust to leave your pet with, especially if there are health issues, while you are gone. I relish the opportunity to meet you and your fur baby(or plural!) and would love to chat about a sitting care plan with you! More of my story: It all started when we adopted my family’s first fur baby when I was 8. As an only child, I’d begged my parents for a pet for years and they finally gave in when I was in the third grade. We adopted the last kitten left of the litter at the local pound. She was a black kitten that I named Roxy. Roxy and I were inseparable during my childhood, and I can’t imagine what it would have been like growing up without her. In 2017 when I got a place of my own that allowed pets, I adopted my first dog. Found on the streets, malnourished, severely underweight and her hair lost to mites, she had just given birth to a litter. I was volunteering as a dog walker at the local shelter at the time, and when I met her, I knew from that moment that my volunteer gig had turned into something much greater. I adopted her, and 9 years later, Mia and I are one and the same.

Ratings and reviews
Clare continues to be awesome! She takes great care of my pup, Paco!

Clare is amazing! She is so thoughtful and took such good care of Paco. I definitely will not hesitate to book with her in the future!

Clare was a lovely dog sitter and house sitter for us while we were on vacation for a week. She endured storms with our little dogs and a water outage for a short period of time and was a trooper. I felt so at ease knowing Clare was watching our pups and home for us while we were gone. We got updates throughout the day, lots of pictures and videos too! We’re looking forward to scheduling Clare for our next trip later this year.

Clare was AMAZING!! She sent pictures and made me feel so comfortable leaving my pets with her. Will be using her again!

I was looking for someone to watch my very senior dogs (16.5 and 14) while I was out of town and out of contact for a week. I have never left my dogs with a sitter before, and I was worried about how my boy would do with a stranger, but after one meeting, he was sold. My dogs take a lot of meds and have some old dog quirks, but those didn’t deter Clare. She loved my pups like they were her own, followed feeding an med instructions flawlessly, and at no point was I concerned about the care they would get while I was away. She left my house in perfect order and my dogs loved her. Highly recommend.
Clare was wonderful with my cats, Astrid and Hazel. She was reliable, caring, and always took the time to make sure they felt comfortable and loved while I was away. She paid attention to their individual personalities and needs, and it was obvious how much she genuinely enjoyed caring for animals. Knowing Astrid and Hazel were in Clare’s care gave me complete peace of mind. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.
