I LOVE doggos and kitties!
Dogs have been a huge (and the best!) part of my entire life! I grew up with dogs (two terriers), and cared for them as well as the dogs of friends and family. I walked neighbor's dogs as a teenager, and as an adult I've been a professional dog walker and dog sitter for a decade! I have volunteered at animal shelters and have experience with a range of behavioral issues. In recent years I have had the honor of caring for several elderly pups with a variety of needs, and have also been delighted to care for some super energetic puppies! I have a specialty in caring for shy pups and have slowly built trust with several long term dog-clients who are now my besties! During the last 7 years I've lived with two wonderful cats, a senior and a kitten, and have grown to absolutely love cats as a result! I truly adore all kinds of dogs and cats and even draw them frequently in my work as a visual artist! As a pet sitter, I am super neat and respectful of your home. I have been working as a dog walker and dog sitter on the other popular dog-walking app for the last 10 years and have over 500 five-star reviews. I'm still fairly new on Rover so I'm happy to provide references for you to contact!

I live with a kitty, so I can't accommodate boarding requests in my home, however I have a lot of experience dog sitting at the client's home! I'm a very neat person, I will leave your house just as I found it, and I'm a great communicator. I will communicate updates with pictures and videos to you as often as you like.

Absolutely phenomenal! I'd give her 6 stars, for real. 1 year ago I went out of town and when I got back a whole slew of major health problems hit both my cats hard (not the fault of the pet sitter at the time). I was terrified of going on vacation again; I had PTSD. For over a year I refused to go out of town. Then I met Claire. Claire went above a beyond to make sure I felt connected to my two senior cats 100% of the time I was away and I never once felt uneasy. I was able to actually enjoy my vacation for the first time in a very long time. She was perfect. A breath of fresh air. She kept me updated regularly and frequently with pictures and texts. Actually one of my cat's conditions, he has a compressed nerve near the back of his spine, actually improved while she was watching them. He jumped on the bed to be with her which is something he rarely does, and does only with me. She followed my instructions to a T and was very flexible. She respected my home. I also think she did some light cleaning because it felt cleaner than I left it. I will definitely seek her out the next time I go on vacation. If you're on the fence I promise you it is money well spent. She puts your animals before herself and she will go to great lengths to make sure they are cared for while you're away. The money is well worth the peace of mind. I almost feel like I got a bargain. Thanks again Claire!!!
Always fantastic!
Clare is and has always been special. We are repeat clients of hers and have come to expect her excellent communication, attention to detail, and love for our pets. Our most recent trip took our love and appreciation for Clare to another level. Two out of our three pets were sick, one had to go to the emergency vet, and there were some complicated care instructions. Clare showed us and our boys such compassion, diving right in to take care of every last thing and then some. I can’t really put into words what it meant to us, so I’ll just say that Clare is incredible, I trust her implicitly, and your pets would be lucky to get time under her care.
Clare was kind, considerate, and most of all, really fun! My cats had a great time with her and I look forward to using her in the future.

Schedule
I freelance and work part-time so my schedule is generally flexible, especially afternoons and evenings. I can often accommodate same-day requests/last-minute requests for walks. Can't wait to meet your pup(s)!

- Every pet is different and requires unique care, so please let me know any special needs that your pet may have, their typical schedule, feeding details, medication details (if applicable), as well as any behavioral quirks I should know - how do they respond to encounters with other pups and people on a walk, do they have any aggression, any past trauma that influences how they react today? I have experience caring for many rescue pups with a range of pasts, preferences, and unique behavioral needs, and I can work best when I have lots of info about your pet beforehand. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend!
