I like to do a meet and greet prior to starting a job, it’s free of charge! This is a good opportunity for your cat and I to get acquainted! This consultation enables me to learn what is expected and discover some quirks around your house, like if there’s a special knack to opening the front door for example. It’s important to get things ironed out before I do the visit/s. I am mindful of your cat’s needs and understand if your cat should stay indoors, Fudge is a house cat so open windows and doors are a huge no-no. I’m also aware of how security of your property must be a top priority. I am courteous and would never leave a mess behind! I have no issue with CCTV, your peace of mind is the best gift you can have while you’re away. I can record my visit through the Rover app and send you photos so you know your furbaby is being cared for (access to your wifi would be beneficial when I visit. The “Rover Card” feature is more reliable when I’m on the wifi network). I drive an unmarked car, which means that passers by will be unaware that you are away from home.

I’d be grateful if you could leave the scoop, pet bowl sponge and other cleaning bits out so they are easy for me to find. Let me know if you’ve got a Google or Amazon speaker, I like to play chilled/smooth music while I’m there & I can leave it on for a bit of company. Does your cat need more attention and TLC? If so, consider booking a longer visit through Rover! Any other requests, like the bins or plants to water, let me know.
A typical day
My morning is dictated to me by Fudge who wants lots of loves when I wake up and she has to be fed straight away! Then I get ready for work. I count down the hours till home time so I can get home to her and then it’s loads more cuddles, and she sits on my knee and watches tv with me!

I’m a proud cat Mum to Fudge. I rescued her when she was three. I brought home a terrified, nervous and shy girl who has blossomed into a sassy and confident flirt! I like to think that it’s down to my care and commitment to gaining her trust and having a way with felines. I love her more than anything and I understand that you want the best possible care for your baby whilst you’re away! I would want exactly the same! I’m a homeowner, so I will also make sure I take care of any other things you need while I’m there, like taking the bins out, drawing curtains, setting light timers, etc. I’ve worked alongside my friend in her pet sitting business so I have first hand experience of key handling and securing properties.

Clare was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond for our cats. She kept us updated throughout the days. This was our first time booking a cat sitter and we felt nervous. But clare really put us at ease. I really liked that she came to visit before the booking and was really thorough in checking little details. She made us feel so comfortable leaving our cats in her hands. We ended up having to extend our booking last minute and clare easily amended this for us. Nothing was too much trouble. We have a nervous cat and she even put soothing music on to help keep her relaxed. We are so glad we've found clare and will definitely be booking with her again.
I couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! She took such amazing care of my cats while I was away, and it was so lovely coming home to happy, relaxed cats. The regular updates and photos while I was on holiday made me so happy and reassured me they were in the best hands. Thank you!
