Pet care experience
Your dogs new favourite walking buddy
With 19 years of hands-on dog training experience, including most recently training assistance dogs at a local charity , I bring a level of understanding and skill that goes far beyond a typical walk. I can read dogs body language, anticipate behavior, and adapt to each dog’s unique needs — whether that’s keeping a reactive pup calm, helping a shy dog gain confidence, or giving an energetic dog a structured, enriching walk. I don’t just walk dogs — I make every outing a safe, positive experience that supports their mental and physical well-being. Your dog will be in the hands of someone who has dedicated nearly two decades to helping dogs thrive.

Would highly recommend!

Really friendly and has lots of experience and well accustomed to golden retrievers which is even better for us. Would definitely recommend

Clare was really friendly and took great care of my dogs!

As someone who had never owned a dog before I was keen to find a trainer who was knowledgable and experienced to give us the confidence to train our cocker spaniel. Clare was so supportive from the start. We employed her for both individual training and puppy classes. She helped us to understand our dog’s behaviour and developmental milestones. From the get go she gave us the confidence to let our puppy off lead (in the park)! She supported us to learn all the different commands. Her puppy lessons were also a brilliant way for the puppies to socialise, and all done within a secure and safe environment. We have recommended her to so many people who have gone on to have successes! We trust her 100% because she comes with a wealth of training, knowledge, skill and experience. She strikes the perfect balance of being compassionate whilst giving clear directions or modelling clearly what you need to do. Clare really understands dogs behaviour and will help you to better understand their needs. Clare is very creative and will not only walk your dog, but will also give thought to how she can provide your dog with both the mental and physical stimulation they need….as well as lots of praise and cuddles whilst you are at work! Employing Clare was the best investment we made as we now have a calm, loving, playful and happy dog.
As a pet parent, I know how important it is to find someone who genuinely gets our animals—not just their needs, but their quirks, personalities, and the deep bond we share with them. Clare is that rare kind of person. Clare doesn’t just care for animals—she cares about them. Her calm, grounded presence immediately puts pets (and their humans!) at ease. Whether it’s a nervous rescue, an energetic pup, or a senior pet needing a little extra TLC, Clare has a natural ability to connect, comfort, and communicate. She has helped us with a number of our dogs with a variety of issues. What makes Clare truly special is her intuition. She takes the time to observe, to listen, and to understand each animal as an individual. She’s incredibly reliable, knowledgeable, and compassionate—and she treats every pet as if they were her own. If you’re looking for someone you can fully trust with your pet, someone who brings both heart and skill to what she does, Clare is the person you are looking for.
I would never hesitate to recommend Clare as a dog walker. Our dog Angus loves his walks with Clare and we are safe in the knowledge that he is well cared for and will come back from a walk worn out as planned! On days when the weather prevents a walk, Clare will ensure that he is suitably entertained and enriched. Clare has also assisted us in the training process by ensuring that our trainings are continued when she is walking him. Thank you Clare!
