A typical day
The care that I provide depends on your furbabies unique needs. Let's discuss the details! I am a loving and active companion for our furry friends. I enjoy taking walks around the neighborhood, hiking in nature, and long walks on the beach. If it's ok for your dog, we can also have social/playtime with other dogs at the park or beach (off-leash once our bond is established). My rates reflect the high level of care and attention that I provide. Puppies, seniors, or dogs with special needs (ie separation anxiety) require a significant amount of focused time and energy. I also provide basic behavior training and am happy to reinforce the routines and training that you already have established. If your dog can do off-leash hikes, I am totally down for that after we’ve bonded and trust in their recall is developed. They need to demonstrate listening to me consistently and be under voice command for everyone’s safety. Tracking collars or devices are recommended to provide an extra element of safety. I'm also a photographer! So I'll send you many photos and videos of your pets during their staycation. If you want, we can arrange for a photo-shoot with your furbaby and a package of professional, print quality (high-res) photos can be provided for an additional charge.

Does your furbaby need extra love and special attention while you are away? I am happy to help care for your furbabies with lots of love, adventures, and yes even training. I can ease both you and your furbaby’s anxiety by staying with them in their home and checking in with you regularly with photos and videos. Boarding your furbaby elsewhere is very stressful for them, especially considering the limited amount of care and physical activity. I will give them all the love and attention that they need and take them on adventures around the neighborhood (with your permission); it really helps to refocus and calm them down. Let's make sure your furbabies are as happy and comfortable as possible while you're away. I also provide basic training and understand common behavioral issues such as reactivity and separation anxiety. I love working with puppies, helping to socialize them and teach recall is critical at a young age. Be sure to tell me all about your pet's quirks and needs so that I can help. I have over 10 years of professional pet-care experience, plus I have cared for many types of animals. I took some time off from petsitting when I took on the full-time responsibility of caring for an elder dog. Our family’s Siberian Husky, Skye, was truly the best companion and adventure buddy. She lived a happy, active life for 16 years! She is dearly missed and will furever be with me in spirit. Now I am getting back into professional pet-care and I look forward to making many new friends, caring for your furbabies as tho they were my own.

This was our first time having someone, other than family, stay with our little girl. Clare helped to make us feel comfortable with the process and we were impressed by her acknowledgement of Kiddo from the start. Based on her other glowing reviews, we felt like we were lucky to have found her. She was ideal for us as our pup's caretaker and companion. She was also a great fit for us to work alongside throughout the process.
Clare stayed with my dogs at my house overnight and she took such great care of them! She sent pictures showing their happy faces and I could relax knowing they were being so well cared for. I'll definitely ask Clare to stay again next time I need to leave the island.
Clare was absolutely great! My 9 month old puppy was not used to being alone longer than a few hours at a time, so when I started a new job, Clare stepped in to keep her company during the day. She sent photos and updates regularly, and the pup was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when I got home each day. If you have a dog that needs full-day attention, I highly recommend Clare!
