Highly experienced pet sitter
I have been around animals my whole life and used to pet sit professionally all over Sonoma County for years when I lived there (for a former pet sitting company called “Pet Indulgence”). I moved away for graduate school and I’m now back in the North Bay and able to provide day walks in Sausalito/Mill Valley and overnight boarding at my home. I am used to dogs with special needs, have extra training for anxious dogs, and I also work from home so I can be fully there for your special family member! I know what it’s like to travel and be away from them and so I’m extra communicative with pictures and updates… I find that super important when choosing the best fit for them while you’re away.

Clara is a superstar! Benny was thrilled with the number of walks, cuddles, and playtime he had with her. Highly recommended! So many great updates and photos. I felt very comfortable while on holiday knowing Benny was with her.
Clara has a very special connection to all beings. I’ve witnessed her interacting with my dogs (and horse!) as well as her own and others in her care. She has a lot of experience and knowledge, and her judgement/intuition are excellent in understanding each individual. I absolutely recommend her 100%!!!
Clara has taken care of our dogs over the past seven years on a weekly basis as well as when we have gone away. Our rescue pitbull loved her and always waited at the door when he knew she was coming. She took him on long adventure walks, played with him and when he grew older, she just spent time with him outdoors in their favorite sunny spot. When he passed, we adopted a bullterrier puppy mix and Clara has helped us greatly with him. Her patient and calm approach have done wonders. She is always very reliable and organized and the dogs just love her energy!
I've known Clara for 10 ten years, and I see how much she cares about animals, and how she take care of hers. She's a great friend, very thoughtful and kind, nature and wildlife is very important for her. She rescued a lot of animals, and is linked to a few sanctuary. I would trust Clara with my horse and dog with my eyes closed ! She's very loving, caring and sweet.
If there is anyone I would trust with anything animal related it would be Clara - she has lived around dogs, cats, and horses all her life and is extremely knowledgeable of animals. She understands their emotions and feelings, and is loving of any type of animal. I would not have any hesitations letting Clara care for/walk my dog at all.

My schedule is currently very flexible because I work from home for my own business. That being said, it’s important to me to understand exactly what your dog’s needs and preferences are (eating, bathroom breaks, sleep time etc) to make them as comfortable as possible during their stay.

I currently live in an apartment in Sausalito with a back patio and loads of trails and walking places nearby (even a beach at the end of the street). I offer overnight boarding at my home with only one dog at a time so they get the best attention and care.
A typical day
It depends on their needs and preferences but plenty of walks for the energetic ones and playing with their favorite toys of course :). Beach and trail walks are totally an option too for my overnight guests! Lots of cuddles for those who love them.
