I am deeply disappointed with the outcome of my pet's stay with Clara. Our pet was in her care from 01/07/2025 to 01/11/2025. Despite being on flea preventative treatment, he contracted fleas under Clara's supervision. When we picked him up five days ago, we immediately noticed excessive scratching and biting—none of which were reported to us during his stay. Upon closer inspection, we found fleas. I promptly sent Clara a photo, to which she apologized and offered to cover the cost of his treatment. To date, we’ve spent well over $200 on a vet appointment, flea shampoo, flea powder, medication, and supplements to restore his coat. I requested Clara’s help with just $30 to cover his oral medication, but after initially offering assistance, she has ignored all further communication. Our pet remains miserable, with significant hair loss that was never an issue before. His coat is damaged, and large chunks of hair are now shedding throughout our home. This has been a deeply upsetting experience, especially as he has stayed with many sitters across the country without any prior issues. We are extremely disappointed not only with the lack of notification about the problem during his stay but also with Clara's refusal to address the issue or offer meaningful assistance. Now, we are left to care for a suffering pet and face an uncertain recovery period.
