Calm home boarding (1:1 care)
Hi, I’m Claire I only care for one dog at a time, so your dog will be the only guest in a calm, relaxed home. I work best with dogs that are settled in a normal home routine, happy to snooze, potter around the house, enjoy their walks, and relax afterwards. My aim is to give them a peaceful stay where they feel secure rather than overstimulated. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of many breeds over the years and understand how important consistency is. I will follow your pet’s usual routine closely so they can settle quickly and feel comfortable. I’m fully insured and qualified in Pet First Aid, and I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy and settled. To keep the environment calm for all pets in my care, I’m best suited to animals that: • are house trained • can be left briefly without distress • sleep through the night • are comfortable in a home setting If that sounds like your pet, I’d love to hear from you and learn their usual routine and favourite things. Claire was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Extremely organised, great communication and sent photos throughout the trip. It was clear that our pooch was treated just as we would at home and was relaxed and happy upon our return. It was very hot whilst we were away, and Claire also went above and beyond (taking her out early in the morning, using a mist fan, etc) to ensure Poppy was comfortable even in extreme weather. Highly recommend!
Claire did a great job of looking after our dog overnight. He's somewhat anxious and was a bit unsettled but Claire went over and above to accommodate him.
Claire is a great commutator and took great care of our little man , 100% recommend ❤️

Schedule
I work from home full time and walk three times a day; usually around 8am, 1pm and 6pm, however this can be changed to suit.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment with plenty of space, however there are a few dogs in the building which yours is likely to meet so needs to be fine with them. My building is secure with an underfloor car park so when going in the car, your pet won’t leave the building until they’re belted in. I can adapt my place to suite your pet’s needs and they will be allowed in any room. I can also stick to any rules you may already have for them.
A typical day
I love to walk around my local reservoir where your pet will be simulated with smells, water and plenty of exercise. I can also walk them around the close by forest and along the river. Then we can play ball games and chill at home.
