Hello! My name is Claire, and I have been pet sitting in the Cedar Valley area for 10 years now! A little bit about me is that I have 2 senior cats, Milo and Charlie, and I grew up on an acreage surrounded by dogs, cats, and chickens. In my spare time I like to read, spend time with family/friends/pets, craft, care for my plants, and enjoy nature. When it comes to pet sitting, I started with drop-ins/walks for friends and family in high school, and eventually added overnight in-house stays. My passion for pet sitting comes from the desire to help the many pets that experience stress when they are boarded. I also want to ease the anxiety that pet parents experience when they're separated from their fur babies. I am determined to provide professional and compassionate pet care to help ease the stress of pets and pet parents alike! Also, I LOVE taking pictures of pets, so get ready for daily updates with plenty of pictures!

I always stick to the routine pets are used to, whether that be waking up at 5AM for breakfast or taking them on an extensive walk. I send pet parents updates and pictures/videos every day to show how their pet is doing.

Our dogs love Claire! We feel at ease knowing she’s taking good care of them. She is a great communicator and we appreciate how she keeps in touch with frequent updates (and pics).

Claire was the perfect sitter! She is professional and a great communicator. We were out of the country and felt completely at ease knowing she was with our two dogs. She kept in touch daily with updates and pictures. When we got home, we could tell the dogs (and our house) were well taken care of. She also proactively offered to stay longer, knowing a snow storm was on the way that may delay our travel. Would highly recommend her to anyone needing a long-term sitter.
Claire is amazing! Even my antisocial dog loves her. She keeps in contact and is also happy to send me pictures and videos while I'm away, which I really appreciate.
We have had the privilege of hiring Claire Thoma as our dog sitter for the past two years. Claire is punctual, very outgoing and friendly and very contentious in following all the directions for taking care of our two medium size dogs. She played with them, exercised them with walks and games of catch every day. When we return, our house is always in the same condition it was in when we left. Claire even went above and beyond by texting pictures for the dogs going on walks and updates with what they were doing throughout the week. She listens very well and follows directions. If she doesn't understand a direction, she will text or ask for clarification. My puppers love Claire!
Claire has occasionally pet-sit for our dog and cats for at least 4 years. What makes Claire special is that she is not only willing to sit for easy pets, but also senior pets and pets with issues. Our older cat had digestive problems as she aged and puked and such. Our little puppy had trouble training and had to use pee pads. Neither were a problem for Claire. She was willing to do anything for them and also drive here responsibly from out of town. She is dependable and you can count on her for the times she commits. Her personality is fun and easy-going. I would recommend Claire for anyone needing a pet-sitter. Thanks.
