Hi! I'm Claire. I am a compassionate, responsible animal lover and would love to help you care for your furry friends! I have always lived with animals- mostly dogs and cats, but also the occasional rabbit, goat, or horse. I have one year of experience working in a veterinarian office, so I'm comfortable administering medications as needed. I recently had the opportunity to foster three cats (all adopted out!) and was a Humane Society volunteer for 5+ years and enjoyed socializing the residents. I've also spent time volunteering with a Big Cat Rescue Center--but hopefully you won't have any lions or tigers needing a weekend sitter :) I teach in the area; my day-to-day is somewhat flexible. Claire did a great job keeping me updated with how my dog was doing and adapting to change. Plus my dog really warmed up to her. She made me being away a lot easier than before!
My two cats were so happy to have Claire stay with them for several days. One cat has separation anxiety and I feared he would resort to bad behavior when I traveled out of town for the first time since Covid started, but both cats were relaxed and happy hanging with Claire. She has a quiet, calm manner and is very responsible. I will be happy to seek her service the next time I venture out.

Schedule
*Labor Day available* Otherwise, I mostly have weekend availability. I tend to be available around 4:30pm Fridays- Monday morning around 7:30am with potential for a lunch-time visit (or more) on both days. Feel free to inquire

- I would love to know your pet’s likes and dislikes. Anything I can do to make your pet feel comfortable is great! As far as logistics go, we can discuss feeding and treat schedules, walking, and preferred veterinarians in the area.
