I only work part time during the week 8-12 per day and I am always in on a weekend. I am a morning person and love getting out for a walk on a morning even when I don’t have a doggy companion. I have plenty spare time for walks/play time etc. Please ensure your dog is ok to be left for periods of time. Whilst I only work part time, I am unable to care for dogs who will cry/bark if they are left (4 hours whilst I am at work). I have previously had my neighbour complain about dogs crying (after I had been assured that a dog was fine to be left).

I am very much a “dog person”. I prefer dogs to people most of the time. I have 2 fenced gardens and easy access to fields/woods for longer walks. I have a large 3 bedroom house with plenty room for a dog to have access to. Being on the furniture/bed is not a problem. I love a good snuggle on the sofa with the dogs! I do have two children 10 & 12 who are just as mad about dogs as me. They have a great awareness of dogs and know how to behave around them/when to let a dog have its own space.

I would like to know as much about your dog as possible before their stay. Likes/dislikes, behaviours or anything that would make their stay more comfortable. If the have any allergies or dietary needs. Please ensure your dog is up to date with flea treatments. I prefer not to take bitches in heat but understand sometimes these things cant be helped. If your dog is in heat during their stay your booking will be modified to include the extra charges for cleaning/washing your dogs sanitary items. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. I know leaving your fur babies can be very daunting for some, especially if it's the first time. Please rest assured your dog will be very well cared for during their stay.

I love playing with the dogs and having interaction with them. An early morning or late evening walk I find just as enjoyable as a long walk on a Sunday. There a some lovely woods up near where I live which are great for off lead (for those who can be).

I have always owned and looked after dogs all my life. I had dogs as pets as a child and once I left home had dogs of my own. I have looked after family pets as well looking after dogs for my friends. I have experience of all aspects of looking after dogs from walking to bathing administering medication some first aid etc. I have also had some experience with dogs in season and helping to look after puppies hand feeding etc.

Claire was a lifesaver, agreeing to take Nova after another sitter cancelled at short notice. She gave Nova a real mini holiday of her own, sending plenty of photos and updates from their day out. I will definitely use Claire again.
Maverick loved every moment of his stay with Claire, its clear to see shes a dog lover. Will use again.....
Met Claire prior to the booking to meet the dogs and get to know the house. We are very happy with the care provided, she walked them and fed them as requested. The girls were so happy to stay here and seemed to have a wonderful time cuddling and exploring. We would definitely book again if needed.
This is Simba’s 3rd stay with Claire and each time he has come home happy. Claire always gives updates and photos to put my mind an ease and I can tell he’s relaxed and happy with her. Will definitely be back .
