Playful & attentive dog sitter
I grew up with dogs and have been caring for friends’ and neighbours’ pets for as long as I can remember. During university, I fostered several rescue dogs and gained experience with a wide range of breeds and personalities. I’ve been on Rover for about a year and a half now and absolutely love it — it’s such a joy getting to know so many wonderful dogs and their owners.

Great experience! We reached out to Claire on short notice before an overnight trip. Not only was she able to take both our dogs, but she was very friendly, sent updates, and was very accommodating of our needs. Her space is excellent and very dog-friendly. Would absolutely book again!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Claire as our dog sitter! She took care of our dog, Renly, for two weeks and went above and beyond in every way. She was communicative, kind, and clearly loves dogs. Throughout the stay, she sent frequent updates and photos of Renly having the best time playing, relaxing, and looking completely at home on her lap. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We joked that Renly might not want to come home! It’s was such a relief to know we had someone we can trust completely with him. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Claire did a great job with my dog who is a senior. She was very kind and caring towards him. I will take him back again to Claire as it was a great experience.

Programa
I work full-time Monday to Friday, but my schedule is quite flexible and I can work from home or offsite as needed. My office is dog-friendly, so if your pup enjoys being around new people, they’re welcome to tag along! It’s a great space for dogs who love fetch — there’s plenty of room to play and stretch their legs. My husband also works a hybrid schedule, so we often coordinate to make sure someone’s always around when we’re dog sitting.

My husband and I rent a portion of a house in downtown Halifax with a deck and fully fenced backyard — perfect for some sunshine and fresh air! We also have a comfortable SUV, if travel is needed. Because we have a shared yard and entryway, we can only host dogs who are friendly and easygoing with both people and other dogs. Our home sits right along the downtown sidewalk with big front windows, so we’re best suited for pups who are comfortable in a busier environment and whose barking can be managed. As lifelong dog lovers, we’ll make sure your pet feels right at home!

I’m an active person who loves spending time outdoors, whether that’s walking to the park, going for a hike, or enjoying a summer swim (weather permitting!). I’m adaptable to each dog’s energy level and needs — whether they’re eager for adventure or prefer a slower, more relaxed pace, I’m happy to meet them where they’re most comfortable.
