I'm currently working part-time, but besides that, I'm mostly at home, so I do have a lot of free time to focus on my pets. Every day, I take care of my two dogs and two cats at home and make sure to keep them stimulated with enough playing and healthy with the proper nutrition. I clean my cat's litter daily and make sure to get my dogs out on at least 5 walks a day.

I follow what is recommended by clients for their dog to the best of my ability. If I'm in someone else's home, I make sure to give the pet all of my attention and keep them on the schedule they are used to. When I'm in my own house, I often take my dogs on walks/play in the park down the road. I'm able to accommodate if the dog sleeps in a crate or on the bed with me. I will be able to follow through with what they need.

I would like to know if your dog needs special attention for certain things and when/if they need medication. Also, knowing the basic schedule of a dog, for example, when they usually wake up, and if you prefer to walk the dogs before feeding them in the morning.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs, whether that be in or outside a house, and always make sure a dog gets enough play time in a day. I also enjoy hiking with dogs! With a client's permission, I would take the dogs to either a park or an easy hike to give them a change of scenery.

Pet care experience
I own two dogs myself, and I have worked alongside professional trainers to provide the best experience for my dogs and education for myself. I've worked in animal shelters, such as Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, where I did a lot of cleaning, playing, and taking care of dogs and cats. I also work for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind organization, where I train and take care of many different puppies with many different personalities from the ages of 4-15 months.

Claire watched our poodle puppy Pippa for a night while we were out at a baseball gam, and she was terrific. Shes a great communicator and easy to work with. She offered to come by for a meet and greet to get to know me and Pippa before watching her, which I really appreciated. She sent frequent updates and pictures during her stay - and I could tell that my dog was having a great time with her. I highly recommend Claire for anyone looking for a pet sitter.
