I've been cat-sitting for family friends and neighbors since I was around 7 or 8 and am very comfortable working with them. I've had cats in my house with me since I was born. I've also been around a lot of different kinds (and personalities!) of dogs since I was little--a lot of my friends and family have dogs and I love walking and playing with them.

I work and play with pets differently depending on how comfortable they are with me--I will play with more excitable dogs and cats in a more high energy way than with pets who are more calm, and I will not force a pet to play or interact with me if they feel threatened (as some more skittish dogs and cats might). Above all I will always make sure that the pets are safe and that their comfort is prioritized over my desire to play with them.

Good dog sitter
I was quite disappointed by Claire. She said she could be at my house by 5 pm on Friday. I said as long as she was there by 7 would be fine. She did not arrive until 830. She couldn't remember where the food was kept. She had said she would have to leave early in the morning on her last day, but waited until I was on my trip to tell me she needed to leave at 1 am. I had to figure out somebody else to feed my dogs breakfast. She was high maintenance and irresponsible. Also, prior to that had confirmed a weekend with my dogs, then changed her mind a few days later and canceled.
Claire did an excellent job with Charlie, with plenty of communication.

Schedule
I'm a UO student looking for fun ways to make a little bit of money and meet some new furry friends. I have lots of time in between classes for walks, drop ins, and I ALWAYS have time for dog cuddles!
