I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments—from high-energy retrievers and playful golden doodles to strong-willed German shepherd mixes, gentle bulldogs, and scrappy terrier types—so I adapt easily to each dog’s unique needs. One of my most rewarding experiences was caring for a husky puppy from just a few weeks old through his first two years—managing training, daily exercise, and routine in a busy city environment. I’m confident with large breeds, energetic dogs, and puppies, and I always bring a calm, loving presence to every pet I care for. Claire is the biggest dog lover I know. When we go anywhere, I know I need to factor in at least 20 minutes of additional travel time to account for all the stops we will inevitably make for her to pet other people's dogs. I lived with Claire for 2 years and she was always a responsible roommate, making sure everything in our apartment was in order, and remembering the little details, like picking up paper towels when we were running low. She's extremely compassionate and one of my best friends. I think she would make an incredible dog caregiver. If I had a dog and was going out of town, she would be the first person I'd call to watch it.

Schedule
I recently completed my PhD and am not currently working, which gives me a very flexible, pet-friendly schedule. I’m home throughout the day and able to provide consistent attention, walks, and supervision for boarded dogs. Whether you need boarding, walking, or drop-ins, I can usually accommodate short notice and keep your pet on their regular routine. Caring for animals naturally fits into my daily rhythm, and I love having them as part of my day.

Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, safety and comfort always come first. My stand-alone apartment has multiple floors and plenty of room for pets to safely explore indoors, plus direct access to a fenced shared courtyard for supervised outdoor time. I follow each pet’s routine, including walks, play, and rest periods, to help them settle in easily. Indoors, I keep a calm, clean space and follow any house rules your pet is used to. I monitor food and water, secure doors and gates, and keep an eye on energy levels to ensure pets feel relaxed and safe. I’m always nearby, and I’m happy to send updates and photos so you can see that your pet is safe, loved, and happy while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day is calm, cozy, and very pet-focused. Since I’m not currently working, I’m home throughout the day to give pets plenty of attention. We’ll enjoy walks, play, enrichment activities, and lots of snuggles or quiet lounge time. What ever your pets preferences and energy levels, I make sure they feel safe, engaged, and right at home.
