Hi I’m Claire and I love animals!
I’ve had dogs my whole life and have worked as a pet sitter and walker for the past 6 years. I’ve worked with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes as well as have experience taking care of young puppies and kittens. I am also an avid equestrian so really an all around animal lover. I’m open to taking care of animals with all levels of training.

Claire was easy-going, attentive and responsible, despite having to take a final exam during the days when she was house sitting. She was always flexible about meeting up before the pet sitting began. She kept my beloved dog and cat alive and well while I was out of town, which was my main priority. But she also paid attention to their moods, appetites (or lack thereof) and individual needs, which I greatly appreciated. My place was so clean when I returned, it was almost as if she wasn't even here! Thank you, Claire!

Schedule
I’m currently a student at American University and I live right next to campus. I also have a job that is entirely remote which means between work and studying I am home most of the time. I have classes every day but Wednesday and I'm only ever gone for an absolute maximum of three hours at a time. I also go on lots of walks daily so your dog would be able to get lots of exercise. On weekends my schedule is flexible and I can devote all my time to taking care of pets in my care.

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and am very open to doing whatever it takes to make a pet in my care feel as comfortable as possible when staying with me. I'll do my very best to stick to the animal's preexisting schedule and following the same rules they have with their owners. It's important to me to give my animals lots of attention and exercise.

A typical day
I love going on walks with my dogs. When I lived closer to the National Mall I would always take my dogs to see the monuments and now that I live in McLean Gardens I enjoy taking dogs to the forests that are up here and enjoying nature together. I also love taking dogs to my local dog park if they are comfortable and letting them play with other furry friends.

- The most important information that I need to know ahead of time is how comfortable they are with other dogs and people, this is important for the dogs safety and comfort as well as effecting what activities I do with the dog. It will also be important for me to know if they have any special needs, quirks, or medications. I'd also like to know things like the dog's favorite treats or favorite place to be scratched or anything that can help me make the dog the most comfortable with me.
